Chapter 56 - 3.6

Rong Hua swallowed the words that came to her mouth and walked in with the moving company employees.

Fu Ling went in after her followed by Tao Ran.

The workers packed everything from the two bedrooms and she finally took note of Tao Ran.

"Who's this?"

Fu Ling shielded the child from her gaze

"None of your business Rong Hua. Take your things and leave."

Rong Hua sneered

"Is this why you were so hell bent on divorcing me? Is it because of this skinny little monkey?"

Fu Ling approached her step by step

"You know more than anyone why I divorced you Rong Hua. If you dare to slander me again, be careful that you're never able to become Mrs Yan."

Rong Hua paled. She had gotten used to bossing Fu Ling around and saying whatever she wanted that she forgot he seems to have changed.

She turned to leave stiffly when Fu Ling stopped her. She turned around.

"Tell your one true love I'll send the bill to you and I want to see the deposit within three days. I've raised you for nothing for these past fourteen years since he loves you so much he should be willing to do this much"

Rong Hua fled after nodding and Fu Ling turned back to the kid.

"There's two empty rooms now, you can pick any one you want."

At the end, Tao Ran still choose the room he stayed in the first night and Fu Ling just shrugged without saying any words of objection.

Around two in the afternoon he knocked on the kids bedroom

"I have to go out. I'll be back before dinner. Don't open the door to any strangers."

Tao Ran felt a bit funny. He wasn't a five year old. But he still felt warm in his heart. He answered in affirmative and Fu Ling was finally relieved to leave.

Fu Ling took a taxi to his company and was stopped at the front desk.

The person was speaking in a yin yang tone

"Oh isn't it Mr Fu. We thought you wouldn't come to the company again or that you have found somewhere better."

Fu Ling couldn't be bothered with this person

"Are you sure your boss will look upon you favourably if he finds out I came but was driven away by you?"

The receptionist was frightened by him. He didn't know exactly what it was, but the boss had been asking for Fu Ling all day when he was away and specially mentioned that whenever Fu Ling came back, he should be notified immediately. He was just trying to scare Fu Ling a bit he didn't know that Fu Ling already knew the boss was looking for him.

How could Fu Ling not know? This so called boss was simply a bloodsucker. After he discovered Fu Ling's talent, all his work was done and managed by Fu Ling but credited to him.

He even surpressed Fu Ling so that he wouldn't be able to climb higher and could only remain his ghostwriter for life.

The receptionist informed the manager of Fu Ling's presence and he was ushered to his office.

Fu Ling sat down and twirled the chair side to side not intending to start the conversation.

Feng Ze waited and waited but Fu Ling remained silent and he grew anxious.

"Fu Ling I heard you weren't at work yesterday did something happen?"

Fu Ling smiled

"Nothing. I just didn't want to come to work"

Feng Ze was stunned by Fu Ling's boldness

"You- you-"

Fu Ling tilted his head

"Me what? Oh by the way here's my resignation letter"

He pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and placed it on his desk.

Feng Ze trembled in anger and wanted to tear it up to pieces but was stopped by Fu Ling's calm voice

"If you dare to tear it up you'll have to type out a new copy, print it and then sign it. Do you dare?"

Feng Ze took back his hands and collapsed on his chair.

"What makes you think I'll agree to sign this"

Fu Ling twirled the pen in his hand

"Then our CEO won't be delighted to find that his precious nephew-in-law has a concubine— several concubines actually and an illegitimate child outside the marriage with his niece"

Feng Ze straightened up immediately. This was his best kept secret how could this person know?

"Are you threatening me?"

Fu Ling pretended to be puzzled

"How could I do such a rouge thing? I'm simply telling you that if you don't comply with my wishes, bad things are going to happen to you."

Feng Ze gritted his teeth and signed the approval form for his resignation.

"Okay Fu Ling you really hid deeply. I didn't know you were this kind of person "

"Talk properly what kind of person am I? I'm obviously a law abiding, country loving citizen don't spread rumours about me. I lived an honest life because my parents always adviced me not to be too outstanding and it would have kept on being that way if not for what happened."

Feng Ze leaned forward slightly

"What happened?"

Fu Ling snatched the papers from the desk and stood up

"None of your business."

With his curiousity aroused, he would definitely investigate. Even though he couldn't do anything to them now because of the Yan family, who's to say what would happen in the future?

As for his cheating and acting like an ancient emperor with several beauties lined up, Fu Ling had already sent the evidence to his wife. Whatever she wanted to do was up to her.

Feng Ze had been in power for a long time and although he didn't know anything about the actual work, he was good at making friends. When his wife's family comes to him for an explanation, he'll be able to survive after they're done with him.

He won't be able to touch Fu Ling then so naturally he could only turn his attention to Rong Hua and co who would have been taken care of by him.

This Feng Ze was the one who got 'him' drunk and the company leader they met was the one who worked with Yanxi to frame him. That debt had to be repaid.

He would let them fight each other before declaring his enmity with Feng Ze. No one would help him then. Since he liked cosplaying ancient emperors so much, then let him die like a subjugated one.
