Chapter 858 - Chapter 798 Hercules Premiere.

Friday 30 September 1997 Japan - Night.

Right now, Zaboru was at home, surrounded by his family, getting ready for a special outing. Tonight, he had planned something fun and memorable—he was taking them all to see Disney's latest animated release, Hercules. It wasn't just any movie night either. Zaboru had gone out of his way to make sure it would be an event to remember. Since he and Zanichi had already wrapped up their work at the ZAGE offices earlier in the day, they had time to freshen up and help coordinate the outing.

Joining them were Zaboru's wife, Ayumi, and their energetic newborn son, Zenshin. Also along for the night were his mother, Keiko, and his little sister, Sanika. It was rare that everyone's schedule aligned so perfectly, so Zaboru made sure they could all go together. He had even pulled a few strings and reserved an entire VIP section of the theater just for his family, ensuring they'd have a private, luxurious space to enjoy the film in peace and comfort.

The house buzzed with excitement as everyone got ready. Ayumi made sure Zenshin had his favorite plush toy to bring along, while Sanika, practically bouncing with anticipation, peppered Zaboru with questions about the movie. Keiko smiled fondly at the scene, clearly happy just to be included. It was clear this wasn't just about watching a film—it was about making a memory together, and Zaboru was determined to make it a great one.

Then the Renkonan family quickly got into their car, the excitement in the air practically crackling as they headed toward the theater Zaboru had carefully selected. The streets were alive with the weekend buzz of city nightlife, and neon signs flashed past the windows as they drove through downtown. After a short ride, they arrived at the cinema, its grand marquee glowing brightly with the words "Disney's Hercules – Now Showing."

As they stepped out, Sanika clutched her small purse and turned to her brother with sparkling eyes. "Nii-san, is this movie really good? Is there any romance in it?" she asked with eager anticipation. Sanika had always adored romantic films, and the thought of some tender moments mixed into the mythological adventure had her hopes high.

Zaboru chuckled warmly. "Yes, there's romance in this one, Sani-chan. And I promise—you're going to love it. There's action, laughs, and a sweet love story too."

Sanika beamed, bouncing lightly on her feet. Even though she was already in high school, she still acted playfully like a child when she was around her family. It was one of the things she loved most—being completely herself in their presence, without judgment or pressure. The warmth and comfort of being together made her feel free, and she embraced it with joy.

Zanichi, Zaboru's father, let out a deep sigh and smiled. "Honestly, I'm really quite jealous of you. I can't believe you're able to make a movie like this, son."

Zaboru chuckled, shaking his head. "Well, I'm not really the one making it, Dad. I just gave them the script. The real magic came from Disney themselves."

Before the conversation could go any further, Keiko frowned playfully and interjected, "Hey, boys—no business talk today! Let's go enjoy the movie!"

Both Zaboru and Zanichi laughed and nodded, quickly falling in step behind her as they made their way into the theater.

The family made their way into the theatre, where they were immediately escorted to the private VIP section that Zaboru had booked just for them. The area was elevated, furnished with plush leather seats, complete with snacks already arranged on a table nearby—premium popcorn, imported chocolates, and soft drinks for everyone.

As they settled in, Zaboru discreetly adjusted the fake moustache he'd decided to wear to keep a low profile. The theatre was packed with people—families, couples, groups of teenagers—and he knew there was a chance someone might recognize him, especially since well he is really famous now. He pulled his cap down a little lower and smiled to himself.

It wasn't just about staying hidden. It was about enjoying a simple night with his family—one where he could just be a brother, a son, a husband and father, not the head of ZAGE. And as the lights began to dim and the Disney logo appeared on the screen, Zaboru leaned back, content and ready to escape into a world of gods, heroes, and heart.

Then Zaboru and his family watched Hercules together in the comfort of their private VIP section. The movie began with a burst of color and energ.

Sanika was fully immersed in the story, her eyes sparkling during the romantic scenes between Hercules and Megara. She even let out a dreamy sigh when Megara sang "I Won't Say (I'm in Love)," whispering, "That's so cute," under her breath. Her emotions ran high during the more intense moments, gripping the edge of her seat during the battle with the Hydra.

Ayumi sat with a soft smile throughout, enjoying both the movie and the reactions of her family. She leaned in close to Zaboru a few times, whispering about how magical the animation looked and laughing with him at Phil's grumpy outbursts. Even Keiko was chuckling at the sass of the Muses and nodded along with the musical numbers, clearly entertained.

Zanichi, who usually wasn't one for animated films, found himself unexpectedly drawn in. He chuckled at Hades' sharp one-liners and raised his brows at the surprisingly emotional storytelling. "They really know how to hit both the heart and the funny bone," he muttered.

Zaboru, meanwhile, sat quietly soaking it all in. This wasn't just a fun family outing—it was surreal. He remembered every beat of the film from his previous life, and now here he was, experiencing it again through the eyes of his loved ones. Every laugh, every gasp, every tear—they filled him with a sense of warmth and nostalgia. And the fact that he had helped bring this version of the film to life, even in a small way, made it all the more meaningful.

As the credits rolled and the final song played, Zaboru looked around at his family. Ayumi held Zenshin close, Sanika was humming the tune, and even Keiko was clapping softly. The room was full of joy, connection, and shared wonder—exactly what he had hoped for when he planned the night.

After the movie, Sanika was visibly delighted. "Whoa, Nii-san! That movie was amazing! Megara was so cool—and the romance was perfect," she said, practically skipping as they exited the VIP lounge.

Ayumi nodded in agreement, still holding little Zenshin in her arms. "The animation was breathtaking. I loved the songs, and the characters had such charm. It felt like it flew by so fast."

Keiko chuckled softly, fixing her purse strap. "That Hades character was a riot. I wasn't expecting to laugh that much. And the muses? They really carried the whole soundtrack beautifully."

Zanichi rubbed his chin, clearly impressed. "I'll admit—I went in expecting just a fun kids' movie, but that story had real heart. The themes about finding where you truly belong really hit home. Disney really outdid themselves... or maybe it was you, son?" He laughed lightly. "Either way, from now on, I think I might just become a Disney movie fan. That was genuinely enjoyable."

Zaboru listened to their thoughts, smiling with pride. This was exactly what he had hoped for—a moment of shared joy, laughter, and reflection. As they continued chatting about their favorite parts—Pegasus' antics, Phil's gruff wisdom, the epic showdown with the Titans—it felt like a perfect family memory was being written, one that would stick with them for a long time.

Zaboru smiled as he listened to their excited reactions, his heart swelling with satisfaction. What made it all the more fulfilling was knowing he hadn't even altered much of the original plot. The movie was already a gem to begin with. It stood the test of time for a reason, and in his previous life, Hercules had always held a special place in his heart. Its humor, music, and emotional core were all beautifully balanced.

In fact, it was one of his all-time favorite Disney films back then, something he had watched over and over again as a teen. So seeing it now, on the big screen again, brought back a flood of nostalgia that warmed him to his core. And yet, it wasn't just about reliving the past. It was about sharing that past—quietly, secretly—with the people he loved most in this world.

What most people didn't know, and what Zaboru kept quietly tucked away in his thoughts, was the fact that there had been an underrated video game adaptation of Hercules on the PlayStation in his previous life. A title that deserved more recognition than it ever got.

He would bring that game to life again—polished, improved, and packed with everything it was meant to be. It would be another gift to the world, and a tribute to a memory that mattered to him deeply.

And with that thought, Zaboru continue to spend time with his family
