Chapter 605 - Chapter 553 ZAGE 1994 GOTY Event.

Friday 28 December 1994. ZAGE EVENT BUILDING (ZEB)

Seth Vincent and his friend Edward Lorenza went to the GOTY Events. Although the event itself was scheduled to start at 11:00 AM, the ZAGE Event Building (ZEB) had already opened its doors at 08:00 AM. Many attendees arrived early to take advantage of the exclusive merchandise available only at the ZAGE GOTY Events.

Edward, also known as Ed, called Seth Vincent with an excited tone. "Sev, dude, are you ready to spend some serious money today? And ugh, can you not flaunt that card of yours for just one second? Sigh." Seth grinned and replied, "Heh! I'm totally ready to drop some cash on ZAGE-related merchandise, dude! And check this out—" Seth grab a card that he put inside card holder that hung around his neck its none other than His Mortal Kombat Champion Card that created by Zaboru himself the card is have Black and Gold Color palette and it has an image of Sevin crossing his hand and behind him is none other than Sub-Zero The background displays the iconic Silver Mortal Kombat dragon logo and below the artwork are the words: "SEVIN_W Champion of Mortal Kombat 1994 USA and this card is his pride and joy, a treasured symbol of his gaming prowess and dedication. "This is my pride, bro! Of course I will flaunt it!" Seth declared with a wide grin, proudly holding it up like a trophy. Ed rolled his eyes and sighed, "Suit yourself, bro. Just don't wave it around like it's Excalibur or something."

Not long after, Seth and Ed arrived at ZEB USA. They were immediately surprised and amazed by the vast array of merchandise being sold inside. Adding to the excitement, the staff members were dressed in vibrant ZAGE character costumes, bringing the atmosphere to life and making the entire place feel like a living celebration of ZAGE stuff.

"Whoa! This is nuts!" Seth exclaimed, eyes wide with excitement. It was his very first time attending a ZAGE GOTY event, and he was completely blown away by the vibrant displays and rare collectibles. Everywhere he looked, shelves were lined with exclusive action figures, posters, and memorabilia that fans could only dream of owning. "Oh my GOD, Ed! Look at that! It's a massive Sub-ZERO action figure! That thing is epic!"

Seth ran over to check out the massive Sub-Zero figure — 70 cm tall, weighing around 4 kg, and priced at $250. "This is a steal!" Sub-Zero is his absolute favorite character from Mortal Kombat, holding a deep and personal significance for him. The icy warrior isn't just a cool character—he represents Seth's greatest gaming triumph. Seth clinched his very first Mortal Kombat Tournament victory using Sub-Zero, a moment that cemented the character in his heart forever.

Seth didn't hesitate—he eagerly threw down the cash to secure it. The seller, noticing the statue's considerable size, asked if Seth preferred to take it now or retrieve it after the event. Seth, still buzzing with excitement, chose the latter. "Hold onto it for me," he said with a grin. "I'll pick it up once the event wraps up. No way I'm lugging this beast around while I shop!"

Ed sighed. "That's way over the top, man..."

Seth shot him a glare. "Hey, don't mess with Sub-Zero! He's not just my favorite character—he's my hero!"

Ed shrugged, and they continued exploring the event floor, weaving through the crowd and colorful booths. Suddenly, Ed's eyes widened with astonishment. "Oh my God! Is that Spawn?!" he shouted, sprinting toward a brilliantly sculpted action figure of Spawn unleashing his signature green Necroplasm energy. The figure stood about 40 cm tall, detailed with glowing eyes and a dynamic pose, and carried a hefty price tag of $210.

Without hesitation, Ed turned to the seller. "Oh my God, I want one!" he blurted out, his voice a mix of awe and urgency. After admiring the figure for another second, he quickly asked the seller to hold it for him until the event ended. Seth, watching with an amused smirk, crossed his arms.

"See? Now you know how I feel, right?" he said, chuckling.

Ed exhaled a long, sheepish sigh. "Well… yeah. I get it now. Totally worth it."

They walked around more, occasionally buying merch from the ZAGE GOTY vendors. Seth eagerly snatched up Pip-Boy miniature toys, a bright red Charizard Hat, a detailed Kenshiro action figure, a shiny Mega Man keychain, goofy SpongeBob glasses, a dope-style TMNT T-shirt, and a insane of Cyclops glasses from X-Men. He was like a kid in a candy store, eyes lighting up with every new discovery.

Ed, not one to be left behind, picked up a boxed set of Powerpuff Girls dolls—"for his girlfriend," he insisted with a wink—along with quirky Lemmings toys, a rare Cress Albane action figure from Tales of Phantasia, a bold Super Mario hat, an ultra-cuddly Snorlax pillow, and yet another Diablo Warrior action figure to add to his growing collection.

Their bags were now heavy, and their wallets light, but neither of them had any regrets. The joy of collecting and the thrill of nostalgia made every dollar spent feel like a solid investment in happiness.

They thoroughly enjoyed exploring the ZEB, especially marveling at the many impressive items on display that weren't for sale. Among these were huge 90 cm statues of Mario, Sonic, and SpongeBob, all positioned in dynamic running poses, solely intended for exhibit. Even more awe-inspiring was a massive statue of Doom Guy, caught shooting demon as he struck down demons with his gun, perfectly replicating the iconic Doom game cover. Nearby stood life-sized statues of beloved Pokémon characters—Pikachu, Charmander, Squirtle, and Bulbasaur—crafted with such detail and personality that they brought instant joy to both Seth and Ed. It felt like walking through a living showcase, a gallery of ZAGE greatness. After soaking it all in, the two finally took a break, resting on a nearby bench, their faces lit up with wonder and contentment.

Ed sighed as he looked at his much lighter wallet. "Sigh... my money's gone," he muttered, shaking his head with a wry smile. Seth grinned, eyes gleaming with satisfaction. "But all of that was totally worth it!" he said with a chuckle. Ed gave a slow nod, still staring at the few lonely bills remaining. "Yeah..." he said, then cracked a smile, "at least it was worth it. We came, we saw, we conquered the merch booths." They both laughed, knowing they'd remember this day for a long time.

Then suddenly, a group of friends noticed the card hanging around Seth's neck. "Oh hey, what's that on your neck?" one of them asked. Seth heard them and grinned. "This? This is a special card created for me by Zaboru, the God of Video Games himself!" he said proudly.

The group leaned in to get a closer look, and their eyes widened in disbelief. "Oh my God! This is one of the rumored Champion Cards! For the official ZAGE Tournament, right?! Wait—are you Sevin_W, the Mortal Kombat 1994 Champion?!"

Seth grinned again, nodding with pride. "That's me."

The group erupted in excitement, buzzing with questions and admiration. More people began to notice Seth and gathered around, eager to chat with the legendary champion. The buzz spread quickly, and Seth found himself surrounded by enthusiastic fans, all wanting to hear his story..

Meanwhile, Ed let out a long sigh as he watched his friend bask in the admiration of the crowd. Seth was clearly popular, and it made Ed pause and reflect. Should he join the ZAGE Official Tournament too? He was good at games—very good, in fact. But until now, competition had never really appealed to him. He played games purely for the fun of it, for the thrill of exploring new worlds and mastering challenges. But seeing the exclusive Champion Card that Seth owned—a one-of-a-kind creation crafted by Zaboru himself—sparked something new inside Ed. Jealousy, yes, but also inspiration. He wanted one of those cards too. Not just as a symbol of prestige, but as a personal treasure created by the legendary Zaboru, his ultimate idol. The thought stirred a fire in him that he hadn't felt before, and for the first time, he seriously considered stepping into the competitive arena.

A lot of people were just like Seth and Ed—eager fans and collectors who jumped at the opportunity to snatch up rare ZAGE merchandise. These coveted items were only available at special events like this and were never sold in regular ZAGE stores, making them even more desirable. The ZAGE GOTY event had become a paradise for collectors, a dreamland packed with exclusives and once-in-a-lifetime finds.

This was the first time such an event had been held for the American audience, and the response was massive. Attendees came from all over, and many were more than willing to spend a small fortune just to bring home a piece of the magic. What made it even better was that the merchandise was of outstanding quality—everything from figures to apparel was well-crafted, vibrant, and full of character.

Surprisingly, the prices weren't outrageous either. In fact, they were quite reasonable considering the exclusivity and craftsmanship. As a result, items flew off the shelves like hotcakes. Customers knew they were getting great value, and they weren't going to miss their chance.

Before long, the GOTY event was almost ready to begin, and Seth, Ed, and the other visitors quickly made their way to the main stage, buzzing with anticipation. The energy in the air was electric, as fans eagerly gathered to witness the grand unveiling and experience what ZAGE had in store for them.
