Chapter 145 - CHAPTER 145

Chapter 145: Green Skin

The real universe is vast and boundless, teeming with civilizations beyond comprehension. The scale of its power and the levels of its civilizations far exceed anything Ragna had ever encountered, even with his knowledge of the Marvel Universe.

In Marvel, even the three great empires—the Kree, Skrulls, and Shi'ar—or powerful cosmic entities such as the Asgardians, Olympians, and Elder Gods rarely possess power that extends beyond the ability to destroy stars. Even the Celestials, the architects of the Marvel Universe, while immense in size, rarely exceed planetary dimensions. Their physical might can shatter worlds, and yet they remain limited within their own cosmology.

The Infinity Gems, six embodiments of fundamental cosmic forces—Power, Mind, Soul, Time, Reality, and Space—grant dominion over existence when united, yet even they are merely extensions of the Marvel Universe's own fabric. When placed in the true universe, their power would be vastly diminished, unable to exert influence on cosmic laws beyond their own reality.

Thus, the Marvel Universe—despite its gods, its cosmic pantheons, and its Celestial titans—remains confined within a set range of combat power. But in the real universe, things are different.

The True Universe's Hierarchy

In this boundless expanse, there exist star beasts the size of entire galaxies, with civilizations flourishing within their immense bodies, functioning like self-sustaining biospheres. There are super-civilizations capable of moving entire galaxies as if they were mere chess pieces, reshaping the universe at their whim. A war between such civilizations would not simply ravage planets—it would engulf half the known universe.

To the southwest quadrant of the universe lies a region known as the Land of No Light and Eternal Darkness, a void spanning nearly one-tenth of the cosmos. Within this abyss, hidden from all but the most ancient entities, lurks what many consider the most terrifying civilization in existence.

Throughout the universe, the belief in gods is widespread. Entire star systems dedicate themselves to the Pantheon, a cosmic council where each deity represents a force of nature or a civilization's pinnacle. Their collective energy remains unknown, but above the legendary God-Kings, whispers of an even greater being—the Supreme God—persist in the oldest myths.

The Immortal Clan, enigmatic and elusive, rarely reveals itself. If not for the occasional emergence of an Immortal Clan Inspector, a being of overwhelming might, the true depth of their horror would remain unknown.

The Cosmic Chamber of Commerce, a trade empire stretching across nearly all known civilizations, wields influence not through conquest but through sheer economic dominance. Countless mecha battleships powered by advanced alien technology are sold to the highest bidder. Those with enough exotic treasures can purchase anything—from world-ending weapons to entire planetary ecosystems.

Rumors abound of civilizations ascending from mere third-tier empires to seventh-tier dominators overnight, simply by acquiring rare artifacts from the Chamber. Tales tell of a ninth-tier battleship, once sold for an unfathomable price, capable of annihilating solar systems with a single shot. Yet, the civilization behind the Chamber of Commerce remains an enigma, their name unknown. Only their presence, etched into the foundation of technological advancement across the cosmos, hints at their true influence.

Beneath the shadow of super-civilizations, even the ninth-tier civilizations—the Endless Abyss, Necromancer Alliance, Warlock Dynasty, Arcane Council, Dragon Clan, Demon Race, and Witch Clan—boast unimaginable power. Compared to them, Ragna 's Holy Heavenly Palace, despite its advancements, barely ranks as a fifth-tier civilization in the cosmic hierarchy.

In this vast cosmos, civilizations are classified from first to ninth levels:

• First to third-level civilizations are considered primitive.

• Fourth to sixth levels are intermediate civilizations, capable of spacefaring expansion.

• Seventh-level civilizations and above have the means to survive in the harsh reality of the cosmos.

• Super-civilizations, however, exist beyond this scale, ruling the universe itself.

Having inherited the Psionic Civilization, Ragna understood this reality better than most. He had glimpsed the cruelty of the cosmos, the true purpose behind civilization's evolution, and the thrones that had already been claimed at the peak of existence.

He recalled the darkest era of the universe, when civilizations, limited by finite matter and energy, turned against each other in a desperate struggle for survival. Only with the rise of high-level civilizations and the discovery of near-infinite energy recycling did this age of ceaseless warfare end.

Yet history repeated itself.

When a mysterious artifact—a creation beyond the known universe—was discovered, even high-level civilizations waged merciless war to claim it. The aftermath saw countless civilizations annihilated, with only a select few ascending to super-civilization status. The rest were reduced to ruins, leaving only fragments of their former glory scattered across the stars.

Ragna 's New Reality

Lost in these memories, Ragna activated an invisible warship, scanning his new surroundings. In the real universe, civilizations were ranked from one to nine, while individual combatants were graded from level one to thirty. A fifth-tier civilization typically boasted warriors with a combat rating between 13-15. However, civilization ranking was based purely on destructive potential rather than societal or political structure.

Some civilizations functioned as slave empires, where only a single ruler held significant power while the rest remained weak and oppressed. As long as their leader possessed thirteenth-level combat prowess, the civilization was still classified as fifth-tier—albeit a weak one.

The gulf between civilization tiers was insurmountable, making even a single level difference catastrophic. Thus, Ragna remained cautious.

Encounter with the Greenskins

Ten days passed in a flash. Angel Star, despite existing outside the Marvel Universe, remained as prosperous as ever. Ever since Ragna transcended, Marvel had become his subsidiary universe, its primordial consciousness collapsing the moment he sacrificed the six Infinity Gems. Their power was neither lost nor wasted—instead, it activated his psionic inheritance, while the remaining energy was stored, waiting for the day it would help return the real universe to singularity.

With his overwhelming might, Ragna no longer needed the resources of ordinary planets. However, his forces had discovered something curious.

A third-tier Angel, kneeling before him, reported:

"Overlord, we have detected a unique civilization in a nearby galaxy."

Reviewing the data, Ragna saw images of green-skinned beings—brutish, heavily muscled creatures with hardened, flexible bodies. Their physical strength varied, ranging from first-tier to eleventh-tier combat levels. However, their intelligence was remarkably low, with most barely capable of speech.

Unlike traditional species, they did not reproduce through eggs or live birth. Instead, they grew directly from the ground, much like fungi, with every piece of flesh and blood capable of spawning new life.

The entire planet was overrun with them. No cities, no advanced industry—only endless hordes of Greenskins. Their expansionist nature was evident, with two neighboring planets already covered in the same green tide.

Ragna frowned. A fourth-tier civilization with such low intelligence should not be capable of interstellar travel.

"Strange," he mused. "How did such a primitive species develop the technology to reach other planets?"

For now, Ragna had no intention of destroying them. High civilizations cared little for planetary resources—only low-tier civilizations fought over such trivial matters. Unless this Greenskin anomaly held some deeper secret, Ragna remained uninterested.

For now.
