Everyone stood around Sam to see what he had drawn. Their eyes were lit with excitement - that was something very clear about them.
"Wow, is that a mutant-type?" Jane asked, not sounding like a question, but more of a rhetorical one.
It was already clear the monster was a mutant-type. But even so, Sam nodded back, the shadows of everyone around him leaning in.
"Yes, a mutant-type insectoid," Sam replied, applying a final strike to complete the drawing of a large spider with razor arms.
Axel, arm-crossed and shoulders straightened, said with an authoritative tone, "I don't know. The drawing looks cool and the choice of beast is worth it. Needle Mantis are literally one of the strongest D-rank monsters, so Operatives and Trainees fighting them will be worth it. But, what about others...?"
No one answered him - he had always been a pain in the ass, everybody knew. Jane gave him a momentary dismissive glance before looking back at Sam.
