"Human," the monster coldly asked while moving towards Leon. "Why are you so weak?"
But maybe that was a song for a different person. Because, this one here had only one thing in his mind.
It was a mix of rawness and timeliness as Leon rushed to the monster with Shadow Flicker. Then, he bent below the swing of its massive sword and slammed his energy-infused fist into its limb.
The monster reacted to the devastating attack with a screech, immobilised too. So, Leon got time to recover his dagger from metres behind the beast. The dagger was back, yes, but unfortunately, the monster was still standing. Leon's jaw dropped as he turned back to face it.
But that wasn't the end, was it?
Leon took a step forward without even knowing it. "I'm not—"
With a twirl of its fingers, three planks with sharp ends lifted into the air before the monster. Leon froze in motion. No wrong moves, or he would get hit while moving.
"Can I dodge....?"
