Naejin was trembling in Salin's arms, clutching his shirt like letting go would be dangerous.
His little eyes were wide open, not blinking even under threat.
— It was just a bad dream — Salin murmured, running his hand through the boy's hair. — Juno's already on his way.
It was rare for Salin to send a message demanding Jun-ho come home early, but that night he typed it without a second thought.
Minutes later, the door opened.
Jun-ho came in, still taking off his coat, and went straight to the two of them.
— What happened?
— Nightmare — Salin quickly explained.
Jun-ho crouched down to the child's level.
— So, little guy, what scared you?
— The monster that took my star-mom… — Naejin whispered, barely moving his lips. — He wants to get me too.
Jun-ho kept his voice firm:
— I'm the protector of this house, remember? Today I made him disappear.
Naejin shook his head.
— There are two…
The corner of Jun-ho's mouth almost twitched in a smile.
