Their living room still felt warm.
Jun-ho was fixing his shirt, still a little dazed. Salin chuckled softly, grabbing the plates. The table had been set, but they were just now sitting down.
— Real food now. — Salin said, scooping rice with vegetables and the roast chicken they'd ordered that morning.
Jun-ho looked at the plate, raising an eyebrow.
— You gave me the best Christmas gift of all time. And now you're feeding me too?
— You're a lucky man. — Salin replied, sitting beside him.
They ate slowly. The tree lights blinked gently in the corner. Outside, the city let out the last timid fireworks of the 25th.
— You should visit your family before New Year's Eve. — Jun-ho said, stirring his drink. — You spent Christmas with me. They'll miss you.
Salin bit into a piece of bread before replying.
— I saw them yesterday. Took gifts. Ate cake.
Jun-ho looked at him but didn't press.
— And today... I went with Jaeho to the Goden community area.
— Really?
