Myra was listening to Amy's words attentively. Her eyes were well up as well. She knew the feeling of abandonment very well. She had experienced it first-hand. So, now thinking about how Amy must have felt, must have endured all that~ …. she couldn't help but feel emotional.
"Denver didn't let me go to school, telling me to just resume my studies after giving birth, that it would be too stressful for me. My condition wasn't that good, so after much contemplation, I agreed. My pregnancy was distressing for obvious reasons. Vienna would also visit sometimes with home-cooked meals, telling me that she was still trying her best to convince our parents. That once the baby is born, they would melt. Just like always, she told me not to worry. And once again, I trusted her. Never questioned what she had told them."
By the tremor in her voice, Myra could tell how much damage the betrayal had done to Amy.
