"She isn't here. She had already left this place," Alaric answered. His voice came out a lot calmer than expected. Although his emotions were in turmoil.
"Huhhh~ …. she~ … left~ ….?" Fabian was confused. "How do you know?" he questioned. "How do you know she had left?"
Alaric closed his eyes and replied, "Someone had already taken her away. She is in safe hands." He then opened his eyes and gazed at the red stringed half-moon bracelet. The one Nora had given to all her brothers. He had found it lying just a few centimeters away from Leroy's body. Unlike every other thing inside and outside the cottage, the bracelet remained in pristine condition.
Of course, he had lost his protective charm somewhere, so it was not his. That's for sure. And Brave had lost his as well at the banquet. So, the only person that came to his mind was Dion, as the youngest, Elio, was still in Kimberg.
He was trying to mind-link Dion, but it was blocked for some reason.
