"What was that just now?" Zara asked as a high pitched screeching sound pierced their ears.
Leroy casually answered, "Must be the barn owls. As many people don't frequent this place, it is full of wild animals and birds."
Wyatt glanced back at Myra, who had been immensely quiet since the phone call. Even the light in her eyes had dimmed gradually. She looked defeated, dispirited. "Your backer~ …. he doesn't want you anymore. *tut-tut …. tut-tut* …. what will happen to you now, huhh? It seems~ …. you were a disposable bitch from the start, a total trash," he mocked her, which was followed by a nasty laugh. Others joined him as well. Their vicious laughter deafening.
Leroy then jumped in, "Wyatt Long, now that her sugar daddy clearly doesn't need her, and you have no purpose left with her. I will be~ …." he glanced at Myra, licking his lips, making a smacking sound.
