(Author's POV)
'Al, our mate still had not come back,' Alex said, his tone filled with complex emotions. He was angry, he was hurt, he was desperate, but most of all, he was sad.
Alaric didn't give any reply. He just looked up at the transitioning sky. The vibrant sunset glossing the horizon in fiery orange, blues, golds and reds, creating a worthy, magnificent spectacle, but that didn't move him even in the slightest. It only made his mood more grim, morose.
He has been waiting for Myra for almost seven hours. He saw her sister, whom he recognized from the Damona airport, when she came to pick Myra up, coming back to her house. Even though her parents returned, there were still no signs of her.
With every passing second, his frustration grew more and more. He hadn't contacted Dion even though he knew Myra was with him. But now he couldn't wait any longer; he was on the edge. Alaric was just about to make a call, as Dion's mind link was still blocked, his phone started ringing.
