As the elevator door was just about to be closed did Vincent saw a familiar figure passing by. He didn't pay much attention to it since he couldn't see this person clearly and doesn't want to assume anything. The elevator stopped at the twentieth floor where most of the conference room were.
The floor was a well-lit corridors which was bright and inviting pathways which led to various meeting rooms. From small huddle rooms for quick discussions to large conferences rooms for presentations. And don't get me on the modern amenities which leveled the office. Elegant furniture and comfortable seating which will definitely put some workers to sleep instead of their meetings. Some rooms had glass walls for natural light and visibility.
The last floor was the chairman and vice chairman office where only the secretary had access to it which Vincent couldn't take it very well when he heard. He should probably be the first person who had accessed to that floor than any other person but now he can't even take a look at the floor before he will be taken away by security.
He heaved a huge sighed which grasped the man's attention including Min Ji thus they turned to meet that gloomy face of his. "Are you okay?" asked the translator really concerned about his boss. She now feels proud to have taken English seriously when her mum insisted she learn it.
She threw tantrum with the words that she hasn't even mastered her native language yet what of another country's language. Now here she was helping a man out. She swore to give her all when her director asked to be a translator after she was hired. This was her first job right after she was hired and she was so happy.
Vincent who was asked a question came back to earth as he nodded in response to her translator. The man was about to show him one of the rooms where they were about to hold the meeting. As Vincent took two or three steps did a beautiful lady dressed in a black well fitted, knee length skirt with a simple elegant button-down shirt in a complementary color called out the man.
She hurriedly came out of the elevator with her catching her breath as though she had run a marathon. With a confused face, Vincent turned to him as the man waiting to now what had happened. "Secretary Kim, wait…..ahuuu" said the lady as she got nearer to them.
Secretary Kim who had no idea what was going on walked towards her with a confused and concerned face "What's wrong" asked Secretary Kim. Meanwhile Akwasi was busy checking out all the offices on that floor as though he was about to buy the building. "Vice Chairman had just stepped out due to an emergency so we had to reschedule" said the lady who goes by the name Hye Ji. She is one of the secretaries in Osung Group.
Secretary Kim, was the only old male secretary in the office because he was Jae Won's father secretary. In fact he still was Dae Hyun secretary but sometimes work for the Vice chairman. Vincent who had understood everything still pretended as though he had no idea what was going on till the translator did her job.
He was so disappointed because he was really hoping to see Jae Won and it seems the heavens was not on his side today. "I can wait for him if he won't keep long" Vincent said and the translator explained perfectly to them.
Hye Ji who knew what the emergency was about knew he wouldn't be coming back now as she replied "I am not sure when he will be coming back so it's best if we reschedule this meeting. I will call to let you know right away." Vincent almost blew his cover as he was about to nod to Hye Ji but before his cover was blown, Akwasi who was done with the sightseeing asked, "What is going on?"
Akwasi who had no idea he had just saved his brother met his gaze with Vincent which he gave him a smile. Akwasi took a step backwards just because Vincent had just smiled at him for no reason. "it's okay, I will just go back to where I was…carry on" said Akwasi quickly turning his back towards them once again.
With the help of the translator everything was settled as they all came out of the elevator to the ground floor. The moment they stepped out of the elevator, Vincent taught it was the best moment to send another message to Jae Won and so he did.
"Baby, I was looking forward to meeting you but it seems this emergency of yours beat me to it. I have missed you so much baby....." with a crying emoji at the end of the text and a love emoji. The moment he sent the text, it showed it had been read.
Vincent turned to Akwasi who had the same look as Secretary Kim, walked up to him as he peeped on the phone and to his not so surprised face he knew what was going on. "He read the message again without replying? How long is he going to do that? He has been doing this for the past few years."
Annoyed at the fact that, Jae Won still read the messages but doesn't bother replying pisses him off so much that he took the lead. He can't explained why Vincent still yearned for someone who doesn't want anything to do with him.
While he was throwing unnecessary tantrums in his head, on the other side, Vincent who was just filled with hope since the message was read as though Jae Won was waiting for him decided to call the number.
With a two rings in after he dialed the number, he called out to Akwasi with happiness in his voice. Akwasi walked up to him that was when they heard a ringing tone coming up from the staircase leading to the parking area. They all turned to the stair case as the same time. Akwasi and Secretary Kim thought it was a coincidence but not to Vincent.
"This song…" said Vincent making the two curious why someone's ringing tone got to do with him.
FLASHBACK

Four to five after Jae Won had gone back to Korea, Vincent and Jae Won were texting about some naughty stuffs I guess we will have to skip it since I don't want to stain readers mind. Vincent was smiling foolishly while looking at his phone almost bumping into Samuel which he didn't disappoint. He pretended he was hit by a truck just to get some few money from him which he succeeded.
In fact, Vincent didn't want to be disturbed as he was being naughty with his baby thus he didn't care what Samuel was up to. Vincent who thught texting wasn't good enough decided to call as he walk up to his room so he can do some very bad things with Jae Won on the phone.
The moment he got to his room was when Jae Won picked his call. Before Vincent could continue their naughtiness, Jae Won spoke, "you know I have customized a ringing tone just for you? So anytime you called or text, I would know it's you even if I'm not close by my phone" said Jae Won.
Vincent gave out a shy smile making Jae Won felt like teasing him which he didn't disappoint. Vincent asked which song did he used that's when Jae Won sent the song to him. And when he played it, it was the song that was playing at the background when they had their first kiss. Even though it was a drunk kiss which Vincent didn't remember the next day but to Jae Won, it was the best night for him, so he used that song as his ringing tone for Vincent.
Present Day
"This is the song Jae Won told me about." Said Vincent with a teary eyes. This really confused the two of them especially Secretary Kim. Why did he just hear this man here called out his boss with just his name and what has him got to do with this man standing right here. With all that thought he was still looking at the two trying to make meaning out of this. Vincent quickly run towards the stairs so did Akwasi who had no idea about the song but still followed.
Secretary Kim, "...…"
Secretary who had a lot to do was curios on what those two was up to, so he quickly followed without hesitation. As they run to the stairs, they saw someone running down with his back facing them while he wore a black cap. Vincent run down the stairs which he didn't care if he might get hurt.
As Vincent came out of the building to the waiting area, he didn't see anyone so he walked slowly while he was vigilant looking around. After a few steps, he saw someone standing beside a car with his back facing the door with his head lowered.
"This doesn't look like Jae Won" said Vincent to himself as he walked slowly to the person
