"How would I know?" Artemis shot back, her jaw locked tight. Her breath trembled through her teeth, but her eyes blazed with unyielding defiance.
"Don't you dare... " the Arbiter began, her voice sharp with fury.
But Selene cut her cleanly. "She didn't tell me anything."
"And you expect us to believe that?" the Arbiter snapped.
Selene's tone was flat, unbothered. "You can believe whatever you want. Now, let's continue from where we left off." Her eyes lifted to the seven above her, piercing. "From the looks on your faces, it's clear you already know of the Children of the Twinned Worlds. Apparently it was supposed to remain a secret. Fortunately for me, the knowledge had been in the archives of my domain, all along. I just happened to find it by chance."
