Something unprecedented had occurred to the little monkey. Just when he had thought the two feathers that had stuck in his flesh would blow him up, they hadn't. They did him no harm at all. In fact, they were the reason he hadn't burned to death because of the eruptions of the other feathers that had landed near him.
Drawing swift, deep breaths, the little monkey allowed himself to agonise over this miracle. The air warmed up and followed the motions of the bountiful Xun whirling around Yun Jieshi restlessly.
Indeed, all this Xun was not the little monkey's own.
Yun Jieshi grabbed the feather sticking out of his thigh and pulled it out. Thankfully, his body was not the common kind, otherwise he would have started leaking blood like a faucet.
'The Xun from these feathers fed into me. Qiu Tian's Xun!' he thought, half pleased and half terrified.
