Tina adjusted her cloak as she approached old man Anderson, the coachman who had been kind enough to drive them earlier in the day. Now, he was preparing to take them home.
"How is Thierry?" she asked, watching as the elderly man checked the harnesses on his horses. "Is he really attending public school diligently on weekdays?"
Anderson chuckled, waving his hand dismissively.
"Thierry is a big boy; he can definitely take care of himself. He probably wouldn't be happy if his older sister kept treating him like a baby," he added after checking the condition of the horses pulling the carriage.
Tina nodded, but her lips pressed together in concern.
"Of course, I know that. I was just wondering if he seemed alright at home by himself. If he looked like he was struggling or… lonely?" Her voice softened, almost hesitant, though the coachman still heard her.
Anderson sighed, placing a wrinkled hand on her shoulder but saying nothing.
