"Young Lady?"
The knight's voice snapped her back to reality. Eleanor nodded gracefully, unconcerned about hiding her status anymore.
At least they won't immediately recognize which Young Lady I am. The Gwendolyn noble vassals have plenty of daughters my age, Eleanor reassured herself.
Besides, rumors about my severe injury–especially the head wound and broken bones–must have spread across the Magnolia Empire by now. They wouldn't expect Lady Eleanor Gwendolyn to be out and about, walking freely without a bandaged head.
"Wait a moment. We'll call a carriage for you. In the meantime, let's walk to the General District," the taller knight suggested, taking the lead in escorting her to safety.
Eleanor nodded in understanding. Selene City had that odd rule where only cargo wagons could pass through these streets, and open-roof carriages were the only option for sightseeing.
