During the Middle Ages, players were still new.
These players were labeled as heroes or children of gods. Some of these so-called "Children of God," created kingdoms, believing to have been blessed by a higher being. These kingdoms reigned for about 100 years before they were purged by the other powers, trying to hide the secret of the players.
However, some kingdoms still survived, but they were stripped of all their political power. Due to the king's not realizing that they were awakened due to an artifact, their bloodline quickly ended. Only a few survived and learned the truth about players, but it was too late.
The Daelwyn royal family was one of these families.
Currently, to the world, they were simply a royal family, while to the great powers, they were just a fallen clan.
But that was far from reality.
The Daelwyn's third prince decided to take matters into his own hands. It wasn't till the [Calamity War] that it was revealed what he did.
In order to rebuild his family, he realized he needed strength, but due to his sickly build and a lack of any awakening artifact, that goal seemed more like a dream. As a result, he decided to do something the other families didn't know about.
That was making a contract with a demon.
In exchange for being awakened into a powerful player, the prince had to lay the groundwork for the demon invasion that was going to happen.
So using his newfound power, he was able to kill his father and use his corpse as a puppet to keep up appearances, all while expanding his influence. I also know that he used his siblings as hosts for other demons.
And one of those so-called siblings was in front of me with a bead of sweat going down her face.
"Why so quiet?" I asked
"H-how did you know?"
"That isn't important," I then glared at her, "answer the question."
"Ye-yes, I am biologically related to the Daelwyn royal house," she started to explain, "I was conceived from an affair my father was having with a woman. I don't know who she was; however, my father took responsibility, and I was able to live in the palace and was provided with everything I needed."
"Then why did you run away?" I saw that she froze at this, and she looked away.
"I-I saw my brother kill my father," I pretended to be confused as I frowned, "killed? What do you mean? I saw him give a speech a few days ago,"
"That's not him! I saw him get killed, but h-he did something! Father became some sort of…puppet for my brother,"
"And then you ran away?"
"Ye-yes, I ran away a few years ago and hid my identity." A scared look appeared on her face. A certain question came to mind, "Do your sisters know this,"
She shook her head, causing me to frown.
"Not even my parents knew this. I simply told that I had run away from my family due to abuse and pretended my father was a powerful person," I could see some guilt on her face; however, I was now deep in thought.
If she ran away, did that mean he didn't plant a demon seed in her?
'I guess there is one way to confirm it'
"Alright, go sleep with your sisters," I said plainly
Hearing that, I could tell she was surprised, "R-really?"
"Yeah, now go," I waved my hand. I watched as a complicated look appeared on her face before she got up, bowed, and left the room.
Letting out a breath, I activated one of my brand new skills.
[Skill [Dragonic Eyes] has been activated!]
My vision changed as a dazzling array of light appeared. Concentrating at a certain point, I saw the mana flow of a human who was Victoria. At a certain point, I got up and slowly and quietly exited my room and followed Victoria to her room. Seeing her enter, I stood in the entrance of their room, and thanks to my enhanced senses, I could hear their conversation.
It was about me, but at a certain point, I brought out the token. Activating one of its functions, I waited as I heard them yawn before they decided to go to bed. After making sure they were in a deep sleep, I quietly entered their room.
Looking at them, I took a deep breath before I activated my class skill.
[Unique skill [Fate's Gaze] has been activated]
A burning feeling enveloped my eyes as my vision changed once again. The colours of the world inverted before returning back to normal; however, strings of various colours, Diameters, and directions appeared all over the room.
Looking at Victoria, my heart stopped as I noticed a small aura near her stomach area. Looking at the dark red aura, I couldn't help but sweat.
'Fuck I knew it! She's a host'
Looking at her delicate face properly, I tried to see if I could recognize her; however, her face didn't remind me of anyone.
'Did she die?'
That was a possibility; however, it wasn't certain.
'Screw that!'
Now I had a big problem! A big fucking problem!
Right now, I have 3 options: 1. Kill her right now, which would result in the demon seed dying before it could properly sprout and take her over. But as a result, I knew that her sisters would hate me. While she was adopted, I could tell that they were close. If I killed her, I knew no matter what I said, they would hate me. Even if I hide that I killed her it would come to light in some way
'And it would 100 percent result in my death'
Then there was option 2, but it would most likely lead to the same path.
So by default, I was stuck with option 3: remove the demon seed.
Not only would that be immensely difficult, but it could also result in the demonization process increasing.
'Hm I wonder'
I looked at the strings that were attached to her body. There were 2 bright red strings that were connected to each of the twins. Not only that those strings attached to all of the sisters together. However, there was a blue string that led into another room, which showed their connection to Adline, which showed that they considered her as a mother but looking at Victoria's I knew she didn't exactly have the same affection as her sisters.
I also observed a black string and a pink string that led into the city.
The pink string signified their loved one, which was probably that guy David, and the black string signified a hostile enemy relationship, which was probably my half-brother. But I noticed something peculiar.
The pink string that led to the city was only attached to the twins, not her. In fact, that string was a murky grey, the same string that was attached to me, which meant uncertainty.

"Ugh!"
Holding my head, I felt the warm liquid coming out of my eyes. Quickly deactivating my skill, I felt the stinging sensation in my eyes get worse. Leaning against the wall, I looked at my hands, which were stained in a golden liquid.
That golden liquid is my blood.
'I guess something like this does have consequences'
During my days as a librarian at the royal palace, I gained knowledge on many things. One of those things was fate.
In one of the books I had read, it said "In the universe, nothing is predetermined. There is a probability of something happening and not, and fate is just giving you the most likely thing to happen. You can enforce that fate or fight back.".
While fate itself wasn't predetermined, your destiny was. Despite being interchangeable, Fate and Destiny are not the same thing.
Destiny is a predetermined path to be followed. It is a path that seems unbreakable through history and weaves fate to guide its hand to its eventual goal. From what I could gather using fate as a guiding hand can lead to disastrous consequences or amazing rewards. Few in history have been able to see destiny, but fewer can break it.
And I was now one of those few.
With a sigh, I left the room and silently closed my door.
Going back to my room, I opened the door to my room and closed it. Taking off my clothes, I quickly entered the shower and let the water go over my skin. Washing off the blood, I rubbed my eyes, which were pretty sore.
"Ugh I really hate this,"
I then opened my status window.

Looking at one of my skills, I clicked my tongue.
'How annoying'
I learned more about it on the car ride here. Turns out my class needed to be at a higher level.
Classes had something called "tiers," which just made the class stronger. The more the class increases, the more powerful the evolution of the class will be. Not only could players unlock unique class skills if they were talented but they could get unique skills as well.
Being a newly awakened meant my class was tier 1 despite it being Ex rank.
Drying myself off with the towel, I opened the door but froze as I saw the sight that was in front of me.
Lying on my bed and only covered by the sheets was Dalhia.
