Chapter 8 - The War Ends

Just before the lava fist could strike, a loud voice rang out.

"ROOM!"

A translucent sphere expanded across the battlefield. In an instant, Hancock, Jinbe, and Luffy vanished—teleported safely aboard the Polar Tang.

Akainu's molten fist crashed into the earth, sending fiery debris into the sky.

"Who dares—" Akainu spun around, his eyes narrowing as he spotted Trafalgar Law standing on the battlefield, sword drawn.

"I'm taking them," Law declared coldly. "You've done enough."

Akainu's fist began to glow once more. "You won't leave here alive, Surgeon of Death!"

Akainu prepared to attack, but just when he was about to strike, Koby stood in his way. He could no longer bear watching. It was now or never.

"STOP THIS ALREADY!!"

The entire battlefield froze.

Vice-Admiral Akainu, mid-strike, halted for a brief second.

A young Marine Captain, Koby, his body trembling, stood in Akainu's path, his eyes filled with desperation.

"This battle... this war... IT'S ALREADY OVER!!" Koby screamed at the top of his lungs. "WHY ARE WE STILL FIGHTING?! HOW MANY MORE PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE?!"

The Marines and Pirates alike turned toward the trembling boy.

"Whitebeard is dead! Ace is dead! The enemy has already lost! If we keep fighting now... we'll only be killing for the sake of killing!"

Some Marines hesitated. Pirates slowed their retreat.

Law, Jinbe, Hancock, and others took the opportunity and disappeared. They had no choice—Luffy was in really bad condition.

Koby gasped for breath, his face drenched in sweat. His words weren't just for the pirates—they were a plea to everyone, even to the higher-ups of the Marines.

But Akainu's gaze turned dark.

"Koby, you idiot," Garp thought.

"Who do you think you are?" Akainu growled, his voice seething with rage. "A sniveling brat thinks he can lecture ME on justice?"

With a single step, Akainu loomed over Koby, raising his molten fist.

"THERE IS NO NEED FOR COWARDS IN THE MARINES!" Akainu declared.

A giant fist of magma surged toward Koby's face, ready to incinerate him in an instant.

Koby's pupils shrank—he saw death approaching.

Then, in the blink of an eye—

CLANG!

A flash of red hair. A glimmer of steel.

A single sword blocked Akainu's molten fist effortlessly.

The battlefield gasped. The Red-Haired Pirates had arrived.

Standing before Akainu, Red-Haired Shanks held his blade, firm—his Haki surging like a storm. His one-eyed gaze locked onto Akainu.

"That's enough."

The words carried absolute authority.

Akainu's eyes widened in fury.

"Shanks...!"

The battlefield, still burning, suddenly fell silent.

"This war ends now," Shanks declared.

Behind him, his crew stood unshaken—Benn Beckman, Lucky Roux, Yasopp—all of them poised for battle. The mere presence of the Red-Haired Pirates was enough to shift the tides of war.

The events unfolded just like in the original:

1. Shanks stopped the war, preventing Akainu from attacking further.

2. Sengoku, realizing the war had gone too far, agreed to end it.

3. The Whitebeard Pirates retreated, heavily wounded and broken.

Shanks made one clear demand—this war was over.

He offered to take care of the bodies of Whitebeard and Ace, and he warned that any more fighting would only bring pointless death.

Sengoku, realizing that the situation had already gone too far, agreed to end the war.

With that, the remaining Whitebeard Pirates escaped, and the war officially came to an end.

Marineford, once a symbol of order and justice, had been reduced to rubble.

But what happened there would shake the entire world forever.

However, as Shanks moved to retrieve Whitebeard's and Ace's bodies, something shocking was discovered—

Whitebeard's body was gone.

Gasps echoed across Marineford.

"W-What?! Whitebeard's body is missing?!" a Marine shouted.

Shanks narrowed his eyes. "Did someone take him?"

No one knew.

Not even Sengoku had an answer.

The entire battlefield was left in confusion.

Ace's lifeless body remained, but Whitebeard's legendary corpse had vanished without a trace.

What none of them knew was that Obito had already taken Whitebeard to another dimension.

---

Far from Marineford, in their secret base, the Revolutionary Army received the news of the war's outcome with heavy hearts. Dragon, the leader, stood silently as his officers reported the deaths of Ace and Whitebeard.

The Revolutionary Army had fought against the World Government for freedom and justice, but this loss reminded them of how dangerous their path was.

"We must grow stronger," Dragon said firmly. "The Marines have won this battle, but the fight is far from over. We will continue to resist until the world is free from tyranny."

The members nodded, knowing that the war had changed everything. The death of Whitebeard and Ace created a power vacuum they could no longer ignore.

---

On Totto Land, Big Mom heard the news with a mix of happiness and calculation. Whitebeard was a rival, but also a figure that maintained balance in the pirate world. Now that he was gone, her chance to expand her power had come.

She slammed her fist on the table, furious at the Marines' victory but also excited about the opportunity.

"Whitebeard's death changes everything," she growled. "The New World will be mine to rule. The pirates will fear Big Mom even more now."

Her commanders prepared to send out her forces to take advantage of the shifting tides. The era of Big Mom was about to become even more aggressive.

---

In Wano Country, Kaido listened to the reports with a cold smile. Whitebeard's fall was a sign that even the strongest could be brought down.

"This is the perfect time to make my move," Kaido said calmly. "Without Whitebeard, the seas will be unstable. I will take what is rightfully mine."

Kaido's armies began mobilizing, ready to claim new territories and challenge anyone who stood in his way. The death of Whitebeard marked the beginning of a new age of war between the Yonko.

---

Across the seas, news of Marineford spread quickly. In major towns and port cities, people rushed to read the headlines posted outside local taverns and trading halls.

In Foosha Village, the small bar run by Makino fell silent as villagers gathered around her. She clutched the paper in her hand, her fingers trembling slightly as she read the names.

Ace was dead. Whitebeard too. And Luffy had been there.

She didn't say anything at first, but her expression said enough. It was worry. Not just for Luffy's life, but for what he had seen. What he had gone through.

From behind the counter, Makino whispered, "Please… be safe, Luffy."

---

Up in the mountains, at the Dadan Family's hideout, the atmosphere was tense. Bandits who usually laughed and argued were quiet for once.

Dadan herself sat still, fists clenched, staring at the paper one of her men had brought back.

"So… Ace is really gone," she muttered.

No one spoke.

She slammed her fist against the table, eyes bloodshot. "That idiot… why didn't he run…?"

The others lowered their heads. They had known Ace and Luffy since they were kids. Even if they didn't show it, they felt the loss deeply.

"What about Luffy?" one of the bandits finally asked.

"He's alive," Dadan replied after a long pause. "But this will break him. That fool… I told him not to do anything reckless."

There was nothing else to say. The air in the hideout stayed heavy for the rest of the night.

---

In the coastal cities and neutral islands, ordinary people reacted differently.

Tavern owners poured drinks with wide grins. Many were happy to hear the Marines had won. Some saw Whitebeard's death as the fall of a tyrant. Others simply cared that their trade routes might be safer.

"That old monster is gone," said one merchant in a crowded bar. "Maybe now we can sail without worrying about getting crushed by a seaquake."

"Good riddance," another said. "The sea belongs to the strongest, and the Marines just proved that's them."

But not everyone agreed. Some older sailors exchanged quiet looks, knowing full well that Whitebeard had kept many dangerous forces in check. With him gone, the seas could become even more chaotic.

Still, most commoners—especially those under government rule—celebrated. They believed the Navy had brought justice. They believed the world would be safer now.

They had no idea that the real storm had only just begun.
