Chapter 3 - Chapter 3 - Tri-Talent, Paragon

Daniel appeared in front of a humongous Wheel of Supreme Fate, his eyes slowly taking it all in. He looked around and saw a vast expanse underneath him, filled with nebulas and galaxies.

"Haha old friend, I wont be needing your help to reawaken" He said in a very melancholic tone, as if remembering someone from a long-long time ago. His hands slowly brushed the ornate carving in the wood, and rested on the small handle to spin it.

"Sign, its time to get to work."

He sat down before the Wheel of Supreme Fate in a lotus position and focused inward toward his chest. Where his heart should have been, there was no flesh or beating organ. In its place floated several tiny orbs connected by countless delicate filaments of light, pulsing faintly like living veins woven from mana itself.

As his focus deepened, the outside world gradually faded away. The glowing Wheel of Fortune vanished from his senses as his consciousness drifted inward toward three interconnected orbs.

The moment his mind touched the first orb, his vision blurred.

The next moment he found himself in an endlessly vast dessert with a slightly dim sun. There was no heat, no wind, no movement. He could only see an endless amount of sand dunes spread throughout the dessert.

"Now I just need to find the Paragon Star." He muttered as he began walking, the dim sun and the sand dunes being his only companions.

Hours soon became days, yet his feet never stopped. The silence would have already made a normal human go insane, but it didn't affect him in the slightest.

"There it is"

After 17 days of walking he had finally found it, one of the tallest dunes in the vast desert and the house of the Paragon Star of Time.

He slowly reached the top of the sand dune and chanted, "Ediku Remeve"

As soon as the chant was over the sand dune burst into silvery light and entered his body, and with it came vast energy that pierced into his soul. It carried an aura of time and age, slowly maturing his soul further.

Before he could process the changes in his soul, the world shattered apart.

His consciousness was dragged into the second orb.

Darkness.

Absolute darkness.

There was no sky, no ground, no direction. Even his own existence felt faint within this realm. Yet hidden within the void was an overwhelming sensation of endless hunger, a devouring emptiness that sought to consume everything around it.

Countless dim stars floated within the abyss like dying embers. They flickered weakly, as though the darkness itself was feeding upon them.

Daniel reached toward one instinctively.

The moment he claimed the star, the void roared.

A terrifying devouring force surged into his soul, cold and endless, like an abyss attempting to swallow the world itself. The darkness twisted violently before the entire realm collapsed.

Now he was standing in a void

"Phew, that was scary, thankfully I kept the Paragon Star of Devouring near the entrance or it would have devoured me." he said as wiped the invisible sweat from his forehead.

"Now it's time for space." Daniel slowly closed his eyes letting himself be transported to the third orb or Space.

Space wasn't like the endless journey of Time or the greedy hungry nature of Devour, it was gentle and peaceful, it didn't suck him in like Devour or Time did.

Daniel slowly opened his eyes to a pale white world that stretched endlessly in every direction. There was no sky or ground, only a soft empty expanse illuminated by a faint silver glow. The silence here was unlike anything he had ever experienced.

It wasn't oppressive or frightening.

It was peaceful.

For the first time in what felt like forever, his mind became completely still. The noise of thoughts, emotions, worries, and instinctive tension all faded away naturally, as though this place gently encouraged everything to rest.

Floating throughout the quiet world were translucent silver stars, drifting slowly like falling snow. Their glow was soft and calming, each one carrying a strange sense of familiarity.

Daniel walked forward without urgency.

One of the stars drifted toward him on its own, stopping just inches away. Its light reflected in his eyes as he slowly raised a hand and touched it.

The moment he did, warmth spread through his soul.

Not burning heat, but the comforting warmth of sitting alone beneath a calm night sky. A quiet clarity filled his mind, causing the chaos within him to settle completely for a brief moment.

Then the silver star dissolved into countless streams of light and merged into his body.

At the same time, the three orbs within his chest began resonating together.

In the orb of Time, all the sand dunes slowly released a golden glow and slowly rearranged themselves in a line that branched infinitely from itself.

In the orb of Devouring, all the stars flared up instantly, pushing away the abyssal darkness that constantly devoured them.

In the orb of Space, all the stars pulsed with a silver glow as they pushed each other away and caused the already endless dimension to give birth to more stars.

And somewhere beyond his consciousness, the Wheel of Supreme Fate finally began to turn.

It slowly reached a speed faster than light and stopped instantly, its needle pointing moving erratically trying to find the talent that is fated to a being that was above fate itself.

Daniel slowly floated up into the air, and stopped the needle from spinning, making sure to carefully point it at the same class and talent option.

He slowly descended to the ground and closed his eyes.

The next moment when he opened them he found himself back inside the Academic Hall, on the stage as several students and teachers looked at him with their mouths agape.
