Chapter 170 - Chapter 171: Rebecca & Sasha Raid the Biotech Tower – Night Assault Begins!

They looked at each other, confused.

Was the sun rising from the west?

Ever since childhood, not one of them had seen Mrs. Wells smile so gently.

Of course, they had questions—but doubts melted away the moment she pulled them into the warmth of her embrace. It was rare, it was unfamiliar, but they savored it.

Tonight was a celebration.

One by one, more Vanodia Gang members arrived at Wild Wolf Bar. The floor creaked under heavy boots, laughter echoed through the neon-lit hall, and drinks flowed freely.

Earlier today, the Sixth Street Gang had tried to muscle in on Vanodia turf. And they paid for it—paid in blood.

Now, as survivors raised glasses, Heywood's old guard—the talkers, fixers, priests, and mercenaries of legend—arrived to meet the man of the hour.

Jack.

The one who had single-handedly crushed a mutant, then wiped Kliman, their gang's leader, off the map.

They came not out of obligation—but out of respect.

Mrs. Wells could barely stop smiling. Her son, the boy she once feared would be consumed by Night City, was now respected by the entire district.

She stood tall, wine glass in hand.

"EVERYONE!" she shouted. "Drinks and food are free tonight! This is my treat—Wells' treat!!"

The place exploded with cheers. Beer sprayed, bottles clinked, and for a moment—just a moment—Heywood was alive.

After a few rounds, Jack finally stood up. He raised his glass and spoke with a calm clarity.

"I'd like the Vanodia Gang to join me in something... new. A project called The Source."

There was no hesitation. After what they saw today?

Everyone agreed immediately.

David, the man behind this entire operation, had given Jack his first mission: recruit Heywood into The Source.

Mission accomplished.

---

But across the city, while the Wild Wolf Bar pulsed with music and celebration...

Two shadows stalked through the steel forest of Night City.

Sasha, her figure sleek and feline, moved like liquid through the rooftops.

Just behind her, Rebecca—short, stocky, and armed to the teeth—trudged along with a massive weapon slung across her back.

Tonight's target: The Biotech Corporation.

This wasn't about information anymore.

It was personal.

"Sasha, slow down!" Rebecca panted, huffing as she tried to keep pace. "I've got short legs, y'know!"

Sasha stopped, chuckling softly. "Sorry. Ever since David gave me this [Source Plan: Ambition] armor... I can't help but go fast."

The suit shimmered, black with red lining, equipped for assassins. Sasha looked like a cat built for the kill.

"You're enjoying it too much," Rebecca muttered, still jogging.

"Come on," Sasha smiled. "We've got a company to burn."

They landed quietly in front of the biotech high-rise, a sleek obsidian monolith in the center of downtown Night City.

Inside, bright lights still blazed, even at this hour.

Mercenaries patrolled the lobby.

In one of the top floors, scientists in white coats were working frantically, upgrading their X-HOP serum—a weaponized mutagen designed for power and profit.

They were scared. Not just of Sasha and Rebecca, but of something else...

A force called Black Flame.

No one knew what it was, but it had arrived in Night City—and biotech companies were desperate not to fall behind.

"Well," Sasha whispered, staring up, "they've upgraded their security."

Rebecca tapped her weapon. "Perfect. Let's see how strong this 'Hex' gun David tuned for me really is."

Both girls grinned.

With synchronized movements, they activated their suits.

Rebecca's [Source Plan: Frenzy] armor snapped into place with a hiss of compressed air, her eyes glowing red behind the faceplate.

"Let's break in the front door," she said, raising her gun. "No stealth. No mercy."

Da-da-da-da—!!!

Gunfire ripped through the silence.

Mercenaries guarding the front lobby had no time to react. One second they were alert, the next, riddled with holes.

"ALERT—ENEMY FIRE!!"

"WE'RE UNDER ATTACK!!"

Cries echoed through the intercoms.

But Sasha wasn't using bullets.

With a flick of her wrist, she tossed a glowing blade into the room.

It embedded in the marble floor—then blinked once.

Teleportation activated.

Sasha vanished from sight—and reappeared beside her blade.

Before the guards even looked up—swords flashed.

Necks opened. Arteries spilled.

Sasha danced through the chaos, every flick of her blade ending a life.

"She's a ghost!!"

"IT'S A GHOST—!!"

They screamed—but didn't last long.

Within seconds, the entire front security was dead.

Rebecca walked in through the smoke, dragging her gun behind her. "They really didn't last long," she said, almost disappointed.

As she spoke, metal thudding sounded above.

Patrol robots.

Dozens of them, fully armed, descended from the upper floors, spinning up their mini-guns.

"WARNING: Intruders detected."

"Drop your weapons and surrender or—"

Too late.

Rebecca raised her gun.

Da-da-da-da-da—!!!

Bullets blazed silver, powered by the [Hex Gem] upgrades David had installed.

The robots exploded in sparks and flame.

Sasha flipped into the chaos, her dual blades slicing through metal like butter.

Within moments, the second floor was covered in scrap, smoke, and burnt circuitry.

A month ago, these robots nearly killed them both.

Now? They were practice targets.

---

Upstairs, in the biotech labs, alarms screamed.

Scientists panicked.

"CEO Anthony! We're under attack!! Two intruders!"

"THEY'VE WIPED OUT THE ENTIRE SECURITY FLOOR—!"

Anthony, CEO of the Biotech Corporation, rolled out of bed, groggy and shirtless.

"Who? How many?!"

"Two."

Anthony blinked. "Two?"

He grabbed his tablet, connected to the company's security cameras.

And there they were:

Sasha and Rebecca, covered in blood and sparks, walking over a pile of corpses and wreckage.

Anthony paled. "No... no, this isn't Arasaka tech... This is something else entirely."

His mind spun in panic.

What kind of armor moves like that? What kind of power are they using?!

His scientists screamed down the line. "They're already on the seventh floor!! If they find the top lab, our secret's out!"

Anthony wiped sweat from his forehead. He knew one thing:

If those girls reached the serum lab, Biotech was finished.

---

Back inside the tower...

Sasha and Rebecca moved up the stairs—unharmed. Smiling.

"Wanna race to the top?" Sasha teased.

Rebecca cocked her gun. "Last one there's a corpo rat!"

Together, they disappeared into the smoke, climbing higher toward the final lab—

Ready t

o expose Biotech's filth to the world.

To be continued.
