The silence that followed the thunderous brawl between Arthur and Hercules was shattered by a single presence.

A stillness swept over the grand throne room of Olympus.

She appeared.

A young woman, casual in form, impossibly ancient in aura. A slight smile tugged at her lips, black hair dancing without wind, eyes dark yet impossibly kind.

Zeus's eyes widened instantly. His breath caught in his chest, his body stilled like stone.

"Teleute…" he said, voice cracking with reverence and disbelief.

The name echoed and the gods knew.

One by one, divine heads bowed. Even Poseidon lowered his trident, Hera's cold poise softened, Hermes dipped his head.

Diana glanced around, stunned. Her father Zeus himself bowed? Hermes? Hera? All of them?

She looked to the strange woman again and whispered, "Who is she…?"

But no one answered.

Didi smiled, radiant and playful, utterly unfazed.

"Hello, Arthur," she said sweetly, like greeting an old friend in a park rather than the middle of the celestial realm of the gods.

Arthur smirked faintly, throwing Hercules's bruised body aside like an afterthought.

"Hey, Didi," he replied, voice soft but edged with dry amusement. "Took you long enough to visit."

Zeus stepped forward slowly. "Teleute…" he repeated. "What brings you here?"

Didi tilted her head and looked toward the broken statue and bruised demi-god, then back to the lightning king.

"What? I can't visit Olympus?" Her tone was innocent, not cruel at all.

"That's not what I said.." Zeus replied tightly, his hands curling into his robe. "Are you here for…?"

She laughed. A gentle, breezy sound that somehow made the room colder.

"No. There's still time for that," she said. And though she didn't say it aloud, every god understood the message hidden beneath those words. It is not yet your time to die.

Then she stepped closer to Arthur, putting her hands behind her back, swaying lightly.

"I'm here for my friend. It took me a while to find him again. He has a nasty habit of hiding in shadow."

Arthur raised an eyebrow, the ghost of a grin playing on his lips. "This woman…"

Diana stared at him, still dumbfounded. The man who traded blows with gods, laughed in Zeus's face, knew someone who could silence Olympus.

Didi turned to Zeus again. "So. Trouble, hmm? What's going on?"

Zeus opened his mouth, but

"I've got it," Arthur said instead, raising a hand. "Out of respect for you, Didi, I'll stop. No need to turn this place into a crater."

She beamed at him. "Good boy. Always knew you were the reasonable one."

Arthur nodded. "I try to be, it turns out Gods can be unreasonable."

"I'll accompany you back," she said suddenly, brushing a stray strand of hair behind her ear. "There's something I need to tell you."

Arthur gave her a sidelong look. "Important?"

She smiled but didn't answer.

Zeus didn't move. Poseidon said nothing. Hera's lips were sealed. Even the arrogan Hermes dared not breathe.

Arthur turned to Diana.

"You coming too?"

Diana blinked, her voice finally returning to her. "Yes… I—yes."

Didi extended her hand, palm up and warm.

"Then take my hand."

Arthur did. Diana hesitated for a moment, but took it too. As soon as their fingers touched hers, the room dimmed. The realm of gods felt suddenly… small.

And in the next blink, they were gone.

No portal. No flash. Just gone.

Only silence remained.

Hera spoke softly, unnerved, "What business does Teleute possibly have with that mortal?"

Zeus didn't answer. He stared at the space where they had been. For once in all the long centuries of his rule, he was uncertain.

And that fear was far greater than what he initially felt.

GOTHAM -

The glow of the neon "OPEN" sign flickered against the cracked glass. The bar was mostly empty just a barkeep with tired eyes, a few drunks scattered, and the low sound of an old blues record playing on a dusty player behind the counter.

Then, in a blink that no one noticed, Arthur, Diana, and Didi were there.

Arthur sighed the moment his boots hit the scuffed floor. His eyes swept the place, unimpressed. A slow exhale followed.

"…Why a bar?" he asked, glancing sideways at Didi, who was already smiling at him like a cat who chose the most inconvenient sunbeam to nap in. "I could've teleported us to my estate instead."

Didi hummed. "We could leave," she offered cheerfully, "if you don't like this one."

"It's not that I don't like it," Arthur muttered, running a hand through his pale, ashen-white hair. "It's just..."

He paused.

"I've had my fill of bars lately."

Didi laughed, light and playful. "Oh right," she teased, tilting her head, "the girls. They must be a handful."

Arthur let his fingers rest on the bar, chuckling under his breath. "Yeah. It's been… eventful. Partied on a planet I couldn't pronounce, found out someone placed a bounty on my head, and the one hunting me? Turns out he's immortal."

He raised a finger. "Fought him."

Another finger. "Caged him."

A third. "Then got invited by Zeus to Olympus, only for him to try and imprison me."

Didi gave an exaggerated wince. "Yikes. That is eventful."

Arthur sighed, fingers drumming the counter. "It's all just… bothersome, really. I have things to do, y'know?"

They spoke like old friends. Like time didn't matter. Like the gods hadn't just tried to trap him moments ago.

Diana, meanwhile, stood near the entrance, arms crossed, still wide-eyed. Her brows were furrowed, her thoughts still circling the image of her father and every Olympian god bowing in fear to a young woman in black and a smile that somehow weighed more than Olympus itself.

Only when Arthur turned to her did she snap out of it.

"Oh, right. Diana," he said, frowning slightly. "You alright?"

She blinked, then nodded quickly. "Yeah. Yes. I'm just… still processing what happened back there."

She turned her gaze toward Didi, narrowing it slightly.

"…Who are you, young lady?"

Didi looked at her with a warm grin, unbothered, even delighted. "Zeus's daughter... It's a surprise that you don't me yet. But we've met before."

Diana tilted her head. "We… did?"

Didi didn't answer. She just smiled.

That smile made Diana's spine itch in ways even her worst enemies never made her feel like it.

Arthur broke the silence. "Sorry about what happened, Diana. But I'm not going to lie to you, if any of them show up again and try something funny, I won't hold back, it doesn't matter to me what they represent or their status. They blamed me for something that hasn't happened yet. Tried to cage me for it. That's.."

"You don't have to explain," Diana interrupted gently. She stepped forward, her expression soft. "I was there, Arthur. I saw it. My father… all of Olympus, they were in the wrong. Deeply."

She glanced away, ashamed.

"I'll return to Themyscira. There are things that must be discussed. Truths that need to be challenged."

She turned toward the door, pausing only once more to look back.

"Please accept my apologies on behalf of the gods. I'll try to make things right."

Arthur looked at her, then glanced at Didi beside him. He offered a faint smile, just enough to show he meant it.

"You don't have to apologize, Diana," he said. "I know what you represent, unlike them."

Diana smiled back, a bit brighter now. "Take care, Arthur."

And with that, she stepped out and in moments, she took to the skies, her silhouette vanishing into the Gotham night.

Didi watched her go, then turned back toward Arthur as she slid onto one of the bar stools beside him.

"She's a good person," she said softly.

"With a troublesome family," Arthur muttered, ordering a drink with a glance.

Didi giggled.

The barkeep didn't even blink as two glasses of something old and smoky were set before them.

They clinked their glasses gently.

Arthur exhaled, finally letting the weight of Olympus slide off his shoulders.

"Well," he said, looking over at her. "I appreciate you showing up when you did, you saved the petty Greek gods from me and all but…"

He turned his body slightly, facing her more directly.

"Why did you come and find me, Didi?"

Didi swirled her drink once, eyes reflecting something.

"Oh, confident, aren't you?" she teased, then took a sip. "But yes… I suppose you would've prevailed eventually. Would've been messy though. Lots of broken furniture. Screaming. Lightning."

Arthur tilted his head. "Don't stall Didi, just say what you want to say."

She smiled.

"I came because this concerns you, Arthur. And… them."

Arthur's expression shifted. His fingers tightened slightly on the glass.

"'Them'?"

Didi turned on the stool, facing him fully now.

And with eyes as ancient as the End, she spoke.

"You see, Arthur…" she said, voice calm, almost gentle.

"Their time is about to end."
