Chapter 116 - 116

The next morning, everyone was up earlier than usual.

The plan for the day had already been decided the previous evening.

They were finally going to visit Atlantis, The Palm.

During their previous trip to Dubai, they had missed it. At the time, they had been travelling on a tighter budget and simply couldn't afford to visit every expensive attraction they wanted to experience. Atlantis had remained one of those places they had hoped to see someday.

Now, they finally had the opportunity.

And this time, all four families were going together.

After breakfast, everyone got ready and soon made their way toward Atlantis.

The excitement began long before they reached the entrance.

The enormous resort stood prominently at the tip of Palm Jumeirah, its distinctive architecture visible from a distance. Even before entering, the family found themselves stopping to admire the sheer scale of the place.

For them, seeing Atlantis in person was already an experience.

At the entrance, each of the four families purchased their own tickets. Once everyone had their tickets in hand, there was no more waiting.

The real adventure was about to begin.

Aquaventure Waterpark

Their first stop was Aquaventure Waterpark.

The children's excitement was immediate.

There were enormous slides, pools, water attractions and countless places to explore. The children wanted to try everything at once.

The adults initially planned to take things slowly and simply watch them.

That plan didn't last very long.

Before long, even the adults were joining in.

The children rushed ahead, eager to try one attraction after another. Some family members went down the slides together, while others preferred the pools or simply relaxed by the water.

Every now and then, the four families regrouped.

"Where are we going next?"

"Let's try that one!"

"No, let's go there first!"

There was no strict schedule.

They had no need for one.

They simply wanted to enjoy the day.

Hour after hour passed as they moved from one part of the waterpark to another. There was laughter everywhere, children calling out to their parents, adults teasing one another and everyone occasionally stopping to rest before heading off again.

By midday, they were tired, hungry and thoroughly entertained.

They took a proper break, had something to eat and rested for a while before continuing.

They still had more to see.

The Lost Chambers Aquarium

Later, they made their way toward The Lost Chambers Aquarium.

The atmosphere changed almost immediately.

After the noise, excitement and constant movement of the waterpark, the aquarium felt calm and mysterious.

The family walked through the underwater tunnels and viewing areas, stopping repeatedly to admire the marine life.

The children were fascinated.

Every few minutes, someone would spot something interesting.

"Look at that!"

"Where?"

"Over there!"

Others would immediately gather around to see it.

Fish moved through the enormous tanks, passing above and beside them as though the family were walking through an underwater world.

Akshatha found herself slowing down.

She had been just as excited as everyone else at the waterpark, but the aquarium gave her a completely different feeling.

The huge displays, dim lighting and enormous variety of marine life made the experience feel almost magical.

For a while, nobody was in a hurry.

They simply walked, watched and enjoyed the surroundings.

The Beach

By the afternoon, everyone was ready for something more relaxing.

They headed toward the beach.

The warm sand, blue water and magnificent view of the resort made it the perfect place to slow down after spending hours at the waterpark.

Some family members went into the water, while others chose to sit on the beach and relax.

The children, somehow, still had energy left.

They ran around, played in the sand and went back into the water as though they hadn't already spent half the day exhausting themselves.

The adults finally had a chance to sit together.

All four families gathered in one area, talking about the day's adventures and laughing about the things that had happened.

Someone eventually brought up their previous Dubai trip.

"Remember how we missed Atlantis last time?"

Nagraju smiled.

"Yes."

He looked around at everyone.

"At least we fixed that this time."

Everyone laughed and agreed.

They had.

The place they had once missed because of their budget had now become one of the highlights of their Dubai holiday.

And this time, they weren't experiencing it alone.

They were experiencing it together—four families, children and adults, all enjoying the same day.

Evening

As the sun began to move lower in the sky, everyone realized just how tired they were.

The children, who had been full of energy all day, were noticeably quieter on the journey back.

Some were already falling asleep.

The adults were tired too, but there was a deep sense of satisfaction among them.

They had spent an entire day simply enjoying themselves.

No work.

No rushing.

No worrying about whether they were spending too much.

Just family, laughter and a full day of experiences.

As they finally returned toward their luxurious residence on the Palm, Akshatha looked back toward Atlantis in the distance.

She remembered their previous Dubai trip.

They had enjoyed that trip too.

But back then, there had been things they had wanted to see but simply couldn't afford.

This time was different.

They had the unexpected luxury of their residence, four families travelling together and several days still ahead of them.

Atlantis was no longer something they had missed.

It was now a memory they had created together.

Akshatha smiled as Atlantis gradually disappeared behind them.

Their Dubai holiday was turning into something far more memorable than any of them had expected.

And there were still several days left.

The city had plenty more waiting for them.

The next ten days passed almost like a dream.

After settling into their luxurious residence on Palm Jumeirah, the family decided not to rush through Dubai. They had already come here to relax, enjoy themselves, and spend some quality time together. So instead of trying to visit every attraction in a hurry, they divided their days between sightseeing, shopping, beaches, good food, and simply enjoying the luxury around them.

One of the most memorable days was their desert safari.

That afternoon, their vehicles picked them up from Palm Jumeirah and drove them away from the city. As the tall buildings gradually disappeared behind them, the landscape changed completely. The roads gave way to endless golden sand.

For the children, the desert itself was an adventure.

Their SUVs climbed the dunes before rushing down the other side, making everyone laugh and shout. After the dune drive, they stopped for photographs while the sun slowly began to set.

The desert looked completely different in the evening.

The golden sand turned orange, then reddish, while the sky slowly filled with beautiful colours.

Later, they reached a traditional-style desert camp.

There were camel rides, refreshments, dinner, music and entertainment. Everyone sat together under the evening sky, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere.

For a family accustomed to the busy streets of Mumbai, the silence of the desert was surprisingly relaxing.

Another day was spent around Dubai Marina and JBR.

By then, everyone had settled into the slow rhythm of the holiday.

They had breakfast without worrying about time, spent the morning relaxing, and headed toward the Marina later in the day.

Dubai Marina looked impressive even though the area was still developing compared with what it would become years later.

They walked around, admired the yachts and boats, stopped for lunch and spent time near the waterfront.

The evening was even better.

The family enjoyed a long dinner while watching the lights reflecting across the water. Nobody was interested in checking the time.

There was no school.

No work.

No meetings.

Just a holiday.

---

One entire day was reserved for doing absolutely nothing.
