Chapter 97 - 97

The following morning, while having breakfast at the hotel, the family discussed the previous day's shopping experience.

The younger cousins were excitedly comparing their purchases.

Manu suddenly unfolded a brochure he had picked up from the hotel lobby.

"Appa!"

"Look at this."

"It says some developers are offering apartments as part of a giveaway during the Dubai Shopping Festival."

The younger uncle leaned in to take a look.

"I've heard about these raffles."

"Some individuals have actually become owners of apartments simply by winning a lucky draw."

The elder aunt nodded thoughtfully.

"Imagine returning home with a house in Dubai."

Everyone laughed.

"That would truly be unbelievable," Nagaraju replied.

Akshata quietly listened.

An apartment…

So the rumors were true.

Without drawing attention to herself, she lowered her gaze and connected with space.

"Kalpa."

"I am here, Host."

"Listen carefully."

"Our family has four raffle coupons—two in Appa's name."

"If you focus your magic…"

"…can one of them be guaranteed to win the grand prize?"

For a long moment, Kalpa remained silent.

Then the familiar calm voice responded.

"If my influence is distributed across multiple possibilities, its effect diminishes."

Akshata listened intently.

"But…"

"If I concentrate all available influence on a single outcome…"

"…the probability increases significantly."

"However, my influence does not override reality."

"I cannot guarantee victory."

Akshata folded her arms.

"So instead of trying to influence every coupon…"

"…you concentrate everything on one?"

"Correct."

"I can enhance the likelihood."

"I may even be able to subtly align circumstances so that the selected coupon is more likely to be drawn—particularly if it belongs to your father."

"But the final result still depends on the draw itself."

"There remains uncertainty."

Akshata smiled faintly.

"That is sufficient."

"Do not divide your effort."

"Focus everything on a single coupon."

"The one in Appa's name that we obtained at the fuel station."

Kalpa's voice resonated through the white space.

"So be it."

"All available influence shall be directed toward a single entry."

The white space slowly faded.

Her family continued their cheerful breakfast conversation, unaware of what had just transpired in silence.

Akshata glanced quietly toward her father.

Nagaraju was laughing with his brothers, completely unaware that somewhere beyond ordinary reality…

Kalpa had selected a single raffle coupon and committed every ounce of its limited influence to it.

Now…

Only the final draw remained.

The following day, the three families decided to explore Old Dubai.

Unlike the towering skyscrapers and modern shopping malls, this part of the city had a completely different charm.

They wandered through the narrow lanes of the traditional souks, admired the old-style buildings, and crossed the creek on a traditional abra, enjoying the gentle breeze.

The grandmother looked around with wonder.

"So this is the older side of Dubai."

"It feels completely different."

Akshata smiled.

"Every city has its history, Ajji."

The brothers spent the afternoon taking photographs together while the aunts browsed the spice and textile markets.

To everyone else, it was simply another enjoyable day of sightseeing.

But every few minutes, Akshata's thoughts drifted elsewhere.

---

Inside the endless white space, Kalpa stood silently.

"Still concentrating?" Akshata asked.

"Yes, Host."

"My influence remains focused on the single raffle coupon registered in your father's name."

"Every permissible adjustment has already been made."

Akshata took a deep breath.

"So now..."

"We wait."

"Correct."

"The draw is beyond further influence."

The white space faded once again.

---

That evening, after finishing their sightseeing, the three families returned to the hotel.

Everyone was pleasantly tired.

Some went to their rooms to freshen up while others gathered in the sitting area.

Just then...

Nagaraju's mobile phone rang.

He glanced at the unfamiliar Dubai number.

"Hello?"

A polite voice answered.

"Good evening, Mr. Nagaraju."

"I'm calling from the Dubai Shopping Festival organizing team."

Nagaraju straightened in his seat.

"Yes?"

"We're pleased to inform you that one of the raffle coupons registered in your name has been selected in the grand prize draw."

For a moment, he thought he had misheard.

"I'm sorry... could you repeat that?"

"Congratulations, sir."

"Your entry has won the grand prize."

"You have been awarded an apartment in

Palm Jumeirah.

Nagaraju froze.

His mind went completely blank.

An apartment?

In Dubai?

He looked out of the hotel window in silence.

The caller continued explaining the verification process and invited him to attend the official prize presentation after completing the necessary formalities.

Nagaraju answered automatically.

"Yes... yes... I understand."

After thanking the organizer, he slowly ended the call.

For several long seconds, he simply stared at the phone in his hand.

He had entered the raffle for fun.

He had never truly expected to win.

Certainly not a grand prize.

Akshata watched him quietly.

She already knew why he looked so stunned.

But she remained silent.

Finally, Nagaraju took a deep breath.

He walked into the suite where his wife, Akshata, Manu, and his mother were sitting together.

They immediately noticed his unusual expression.

His wife stood up.

"What happened?"

"Is everything all right?"

Nagaraju sat down without speaking.

He needed a moment to gather his thoughts.

His mother looked concerned.

"Son... you're worrying us."

He looked at each of them before speaking slowly.

"I just received a call from the Dubai Shopping Festival organizers."

Everyone waited silently.

He smiled in disbelief.

"They said..."

"...one of our raffle coupons has won the grand prize."

The room fell silent.

"The grand prize?" Manu asked.

"What did we win?"

Nagaraju let out a soft laugh, as though he still couldn't believe the words himself.

"An apartment."

"In palm Jumeirah.

For a heartbeat, nobody reacted.

Then Manu jumped to his feet.

"An apartment?"

"Appa... a real apartment?"

His mother covered her mouth in astonishment.

His wife simply stared at him, unable to find the right words.

Akshata smiled gently.

She acted just as surprised as everyone else.

Inside, however, she quietly whispered a single word.

"Thank you, Kalpa."

Some dreams required hard work.

Others needed courage.

And sometimes...

Fortune arrived with a single unexpected phone call.
