Chapter 776 - Chapter 993: Waste Management

"West, let me see which unlucky countries are over there."

Julian took out his phone, found the map, and traced the route of Regigigas. If it didn't change direction, then drawing a simple straight line westward would suffice.

"There are quite a few unlucky countries."

Looking at this straight line that directly passed through over a dozen countries, Julian watched with amusement, wondering on which unlucky country Regigigas would stop.

"Julian, if you go further west, won't it reach here?"

Jirachi pointed at the straight line Julian had drawn. The line wasn't fully extended yet, but if drawn to the end, it would indeed reach Drakoria.

"What are you talking about? There's the Western Ocean in between. At its speed, if its destination really is Drakoria, wouldn't its feet be worn bald?"

"And by then it would probably be too exhausted to move and just sink to the bottom of the sea."

After saying that, Julian tapped Jirachi's little head and said in a half-serious tone, "Don't jinx it. If it really comes, you won't get any allowance for a week."

Hearing that, Jirachi stuck out its tongue, admitting it had said something wrong.

"Cos~"

While they were talking, the just-awakened Nebby floated out of the room, drifting from the second floor all the way into Julian's arms. It settled into the most comfortable spot, turning its body a few times.

"Cos~"

Nebby: "Hungry."

"Here you go."

Julian took out a few of Nebby's exclusive Pokéblocks.

After all, Nebby's meals were now covered by the system, and Julian was more than happy to let it eat as much as possible. Taking advantage of the system like this might be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

He had even let Reshiram and Zekrom try Nebby's exclusive Pokéblocks, but the two of them ended up vomiting.

Clearly they were all First-class Legendaries—how could their taste preferences be so different?

Or maybe the system had tampered with the Pokéblocks to prevent Julian from exploiting loopholes.

After eating two boxes of Pokéblocks, Nebby signaled it was full. Seeing this, Julian said, "Why eat so little? Here, have another box. You need to eat more to grow taller and stronger, so you can help me fight more effectively in the future."

Convinced by Julian's persuasion, Nebby reluctantly ate another box. Seeing that it genuinely couldn't eat any more, Julian gave up on making it eat a fourth one.

"Cos~"

Nebby: "Sleepy."

"Then sleep for a while," Julian said with a smile.

Nebby lived the life of a sloth—eating and sleeping all day, with sleeping hours basically taking up 20 hours a day.

The remaining four hours were either spent eating or on the way to eat.

Occasionally, it would even be taken out by Jirachi and Celebi to eat junk food.

Don't be fooled by the fact that Nebby became full on Pokéblocks—if you took it out for junk food, it could still eat a lot more.

It wasn't that Nebby preferred junk food more, but it was just that this kind of food couldn't provide it with any energy.

So when eating fried chicken or similar foods, Nebby was just tasting the flavor—it didn't fill its stomach at all.

Ding-dong~

The doorbell rang.

Jirachi immediately flew over to answer the door.

The visitor was a minor supervisor from the Walker Group's Renewable Resources division, followed by several other people.

"Champion Walker."

"You're here."

Julian nodded, handing Nebby to Celebi, and said, "Come on, follow me to the backyard."

The group immediately followed behind him, not looking around aimlessly since they weren't first-time visitors. They came periodically every so often.

Most of Julian's Pokémon were in the backyard. And when Arcanine saw its trainer suddenly appear, it trotted over with its tongue lolling, its dog face full of grievance.

"Arf!"

Arcanine: "When can I become a Champion? That dumb bird is mocking me again!"

Patting the dog's big head, Julian perfunctorily said, "Soon, soon."

After dealing with Arcanine, he led the group to the area near the backyard close to the hillside and pointed at a pile of black objects with a metallic sheen. "I'll leave it to you."

"Understood, Champion Walker."

The supervisor nodded.

Then he sent out his Pokémon and, along with the people he brought, began loading up those black, unidentified objects.

Actually, these "unidentified objects" were Aggron's excrement.

Since Aggron loved eating metal ores, and Julian's Aggron consumed only premium-grade metal ores, after digestion, its excrement contained an extremely rare type of metal.

This metal could be used in the manufacturing of high-end precision instruments, chips, and similar things.

On the market, there were even companies that bought the waste excreted by ore-eating Pokémon such as Aggron and Tyranitar, precisely to extract the metals inside.

The price depended on the Pokémon's strength, as well as the amount of rare metal content in its excrement.

Since Julian's Aggron was a Totem-class Pokémon, it ate a lot—and naturally, it produced a lot, too.

Previously, all this waste was simply left to decompose naturally, as the Walker family didn't lack money. That was until Aggron broke through to the Champion-level.

Its excrement now contained extremely rare metallic elements, and the Walker Group's Renewable Resources division proposed taking over the handling of it.

Considering this would also contribute to the group's operations, Julian naturally agreed.

"Meta~"

Melmetal walked over and pointed at the pile next to Aggron's black waste—that was its own.

Compared to Aggron, who ate raw metal ores, Melmetal consumed all kinds of refined rare metals. Because those were already refined—and because its absorption ability was strong—its own waste had no value at all.

This comparison left Melmetal feeling a little unhappy. 'What's the deal? Looking down on me, Mel?'

Julian was speechless. Why compete over something like this? Why not compare strength instead?

"Alright, let's go."

Although the waste wasn't smelly, Julian had no particular interest in staying. He pulled Melmetal away and even patted Arcanine, who was watching with great interest.

Returning to the area where his Pokémon were gathered, the ground beneath him suddenly stirred, and the next moment, Steelix emerged—Julian happened to be right on top of Steelix's head.

Steelix: "Scared?"

Julian: "A little, yeah."

He played along with this simple-minded guy.

"Ghehehe~"

Gengar covered its mouth and laughed.

Looking at Gengar, Julian instantly understood why Steelix wasn't sleeping and had tried to scare him—clearly, it had been Gengar's idea.

Sliding down Steelix's back like a slide, Julian wrapped himself in psychic energy, since Steelix's back was anything but smooth.

"If the heavens had not birthed me, Kartana. Swordsmanship would be lost in eternal darkness."

"Aegislash, if you ever defeat me one day, this line will belong to you. Pawniard, the same goes for you."

Kartana looked arrogantly at Aegislash and Pawniard.

"But if you want to catch up to me, you've got ten thousand years to go. Strive, strive to chase after my shadow!"

Julian: 'Wasn't this guy getting away from these dramatic lines?'
