Much like Poipole, Ferrothorn could absorb aura from vines through leech seeds, a technique it hadn't used before simply because it hadn't encountered plants with such power until now.
According to Ferrothorn, these leech seeds can absorb aura only from the same kind of plant and convert it into their own strength.
When used on other creatures, they can only replenish the aura that's been consumed.
The once lively and vigorous vines began to wither and die.
Although the vines grown from seeds were relatively fragile and easy to break, many leech seeds attached directly to the vines without growing into new ones.
As Ferrothorn kept absorbing aura, its experience points skyrocketed, quickly leveling it up from B to A rank in no time.
Through Ferrothorn's relentless effort, not only the vines but even the surrounding weeds were drained of their vitality.
What remained was a patch of grass that looked nearly withered, the once fresh and lively greenery now dry and brittle.
When Ging lightly touched the dead grass, it crumbled into dust and floated away on the breeze.
"Hiss~," Ging exhaled sharply, eyes fixed on Ferrothorn standing beside Larry in the distance.
Everyone was amazed by what Ferrothorn had accomplished.
The troublesome vines that had caused so much trouble were effortlessly dealt with, thanks to Larry's nen beast.
"Finally done, that was intense. I almost got dragged under by those vines," Bushidora said, scratching his head as he sat cross-legged on the ground.
With the storm finally settling, others began to speak up, trying to calm their nerves.
The area around them looked like it had been plowed multiple times, full of large pits and completely devoid of plants, a relatively safe spot to rest.
But just as they were settling down, Larry suddenly looked up at the sky with a frown.
The sunlight that had been shining on the ground dimmed rapidly, as if day had turned to night in just a few breaths.
The sudden change set everyone on edge, and they all stood up, eyes fixed on the darkening sky.
When the sky finally became clear, most people stared up in shock, as if they'd been struck by lightning.
"How is this possible?!" someone whispered.
"Is that a cloud?!"
Suddenly, what had been a bright, sunny sky darkened, as if a gigantic cloth had been draped over the sun.
Following the crowd's gaze, everyone saw a massive cluster of clouds forming.
One huge cloud was pure white, perfectly clean, like a giant cotton ball or a lump of dough being kneaded.
It rolled slowly across the sky, almost as if a monster was about to emerge from within it.
For a moment, everyone held their breath, captivated by the strange sight.
They had seen odd clouds before, even on the mysterious sea, but those were just dark, heavy storm clouds, nothing like this.
Then, the enormous cloud began to break apart into smaller pieces, which quickly shifted and changed shape.
Before long, the sky was filled with clouds shaped like various beasts: wolves, tigers, leopards, all seemingly stepping through the air, baring teeth and claws, and roaring silently.
There were also some strange forms that looked like magical creatures, transforming into all sorts of powerful and unusual shapes.
Everyone's attention was completely captured by this vast, white spectacle.
It wasn't snowing anymore; instead, the sky was filled with monsters made entirely of clouds.
These were cloud beasts, a unique life form born from special clouds.
They usually gather where cloud cover is thick and life aura is strong.
When they sense powerful aura fluctuations on the ground, they shift from their usual cloud state into these beastly forms to attack.
They swallow their prey whole, using the absorbed aura to grow stronger.
They can even mimic creatures they've consumed, copying some of their abilities.
Because their bodies are made of clouds, many attacks either don't harm them or have much less effect.
Larry linked the scene to a group from the Pokemon world known in canon as the Forces of Nature.
These three legendary Pokemon also come as a trio, each tied to a different power: Tornadus, Landorus, and Thundurus.
Besides the three well-known legendary beasts, there's also a legendary creature called the "Enamorus," which shares similarities with them in shape and other features.
In the Pokemon world, each region typically has one primary god-like figure, along with three subordinate legendary creatures.
These subordinates often come in groups like the Three Sacred Beasts, the Three Sacred Birds, or the Three Sacred Pillars.
However, there are exceptions.
In the Unova Region, for example, there are two distinct groups of legendary beasts.
The first group is the famous Three Dragons of the Path, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem.
The second group consists of the three cloud gods.
Unlike the dragons, these cloud gods don't have a single leader; instead, the strongest among them, Landorus, acts as their boss.
Even so, their power shouldn't be underestimated.
Team Rocket's boss, Giovanni, once claimed that the three cloud gods could rule the world.
While that might be an exaggeration, their strength as divine beasts is still formidable.
What makes Larry associate these creatures isn't just their connection to clouds but also their unique ability.
Each of the three cloud gods has two forms: the incarnation form and the nen beast form.
In the incarnation form, their upper bodies resemble beasts, while their lower bodies rest on white clouds.
In the nen beast form, their entire bodies look like beasts, with clouds spread across different parts of them.
These two forms closely resemble the dense cloud beasts currently hovering in the sky.
At this moment, Larry wondered if one of the Pokemon before him was Mikumo.
It seemed like a reasonable guess since the cloud beast perfectly matched the description of the three cloud gods.
But there was no time to dwell on that now.
Miru's expression darkened as he called out, "Golem!"
With a quick wave of his hand, a bow and arrow shimmering with aura suddenly appeared.
The strange clouds above threatened to descend and trap them, so they had to be stopped before they touched the ground.
The sky was filled with so many cloud monsters that it felt like night had fallen instead of day.
Miru raised his bow, pulled the arrow back without even needing to aim, and fired straight into the sky.
"Take this!" Golem spoke in a flat tone as he quickly gathered his aura, creating enough mental weapons as fast as he could.
Facing their aerial foes, they had limited attack options and had to rely on long-range strikes.
Miru's eyes burned with intensity as he swiftly drew his bow and fired six arrows in rapid succession.
The Arrows made from concentrated thought aura were far sharper and stronger than normal ones, streaking through the air with sharp, precise trails.
Everyone watched, either tense or hopeful, as the arrows hit the cloud beast.
