Genesect as mythical beast Pokemon, it carries titles such as Steel Worm God, Extinction Worm, and World Destroyer Worm.
As a rare Bug-type mythical, Genesect is often seen as the flagship of Bug-type Pokemon.
Just as Larry predicted, a high-ranking Bug-type Pokemon was born, marking his second mythical beast and also his second SS-level Pokemon.
Genesect's signature ability is called [Techno Blast], which fires a light bullet at opponents.
Interestingly, the attribute of this attack changes depending on the Drive it holds, making this move unique to Genesect.
The key to this ability lies in the word "Drive."
Genesect is an ancient Bug Pokemon that existed 300 million years ago and was feared as the ultimate hunter of its time.
Unlike ordinary bugs, it's a giant creature wrapped in purple armor.
After being modified by Team Plasma, a turret was installed on its back, enhancing the power of its cannon.
This cannon can be loaded with different elemental cartridges, lightning, fire, freezing, and water, which alter the type of the Techno Blast attack.
Without a Drive, the attack is considered Normal-type.
What surprised Larry the most was that Genesect was born with four different Drive right from the start, making it the first Pokemon known to be born with props.
Perhaps having these cartridges completes Genesect in a way, though it's unclear if future Pokemon might also be born with such items.
For example, if Groudon were to appear already holding a Scarlet Orb, could it immediately Mega Evolve?
This idea opens up exciting possibilities for how Pokemon might be introduced or enhanced in the future.
Is it Arceus, the alpaca, who shows up carrying all the attribute tablets?
When Genesect appeared, it gave Larry a new pattern to consider. He hadn't expected Pokemon-related elements to be involved.
Taking a moment to gather his thoughts, Larry fixed his gaze on the Ant King, who looked utterly horrified.
"King Ant, I'm sorry, but it seems your reign has come to an end," Larry said calmly. "Do you have any last words?"
After speaking, the two Pokemon held their breath, creating a tense silence that allowed the Ant King to relax just enough to barely speak.
Nearby, Netero and Ging finally exhaled in relief, their attention also drawn to the scene unfolding.
The Ant King met Larry's eyes quietly; the anger that once burned on his face had vanished, replaced by a deep loneliness.
It was clear he no longer believed in victory.
Facing such a massive foe, if he still refused to accept defeat, he could at least fight to the last breath.
But standing before these two powerful presences, he had lost the arrogance he once had.
No matter how strong his self-healing was, it was useless against such overwhelming power.
The Ant King understood that if the others chose, they could wipe him out instantly.
Just being able to stand there now was a sort of honor, an opportunity to speak his final words.
His dark expression mirrored his heavy heart, void of any light.
Offering hope only to snatch it away, nothing could be crueler than that.
The dream of becoming the strongest after evolution was within reach... but he still lacked the strength to achieve it.
After a moment, a faint image appeared in the Ant King's gloomy eyes, and with a slightly moved voice, he uttered.
"Komugi..."
Though his spirit was crushed and his throat felt raw and cut, making it hard to speak, Larry understood the meaning and nodded.
"I will make arrangements for Komugi. She won't have to worry about anything else and can fully enjoy the military honors she deserves," Larry promised. "And she will never learn the true identity of the 'Commander-in-Chief' who salutes her with those honors."
Hearing this, the Ant King gave a slight nod, and most of the confusion in his eyes faded away.
In the underground chamber, Larry, Ging, and Netero had all vanished, leaving only Genesect and the Ant King behind.
The three had retreated into the online world, unable to bear the aftermath of the fierce battle that had just unfolded.
The Ant King's self-healing ability was incredibly strong, making it impossible to defeat without intervention from either Marshado or Genesect.
Mega Tyranitar alone wasn't enough.
So, Larry turned to Genesect, asking him to take action.
The Pokemon born from this event was tasked with delivering the final blow to the Ant King, also born from this same event.
The three observers stayed connected online, watching every move on the battlefield through their screens.
Even Larry had never witnessed an attack on the SS-level before, and he was eager to see just how powerful it could be.
But since the Ant King hadn't yet reached SS-level strength, Genesect didn't need to unleash his full power and seemed to be holding back.
His red eyes suddenly glowed brightly.
At the same time, he leaned forward slightly and aimed the turret on his back toward the distant Ant King.
Countless pure, white thoughts gathered, all focusing on the fort ahead.
As this pure aura filled the fort, faint beams of light began to emerge from the dark, deep pit.
The light was incredibly pure, yet its mere presence caused every living creature nearby to tremble.
Even though the attack hadn't been released yet, the aura radiating from it was enough to instill fear and
Freeze countless beings in place.
This was no ordinary attack, it was extremely dangerous.
The Ant King stared blankly at the fort as the light grew brighter, his dark eyes reflecting the glow.
In this rare moment of freedom, he found time to ponder the meaning of his own name: Meruem.
'What did it signify?'
What the Ant King didn't know was that his name meant "the light that illuminates everything," a fitting description for the current scene.
As the beam of light prepared to unleash its power, Meruem's mind was flooded with memories, flashing scenes from his life from birth to now.
His thoughts finally settled on the image of a girl.
Despite all he had experienced, what he missed most was Komugi, the girl who had sniffled occasionally and looked so unkempt.
He murmured softly, "I really want to... one last game of chess..."
But his words were swallowed by the roar of the massive light beam as it exploded forward.
Boom!
A pure, brilliant white light burst from Genesect's triangular barrel.
At first, it was just a thin beam, but the moment it shot out, it instantly expanded into a thick, powerful ray of light, much larger and more intense than the devastating death ray once used by Mega Gardevoir.
This was Genesect's signature move: a high-tech light cannon.
The dazzling beam roared like a fierce white dragon, aiming straight for the Ant King.
