In the darkness of the cinema, it was still possible to see several couples. Since it was a romantic movie, it was unlikely that a 'single dog' was present.
Even the few who came had one or two friends by their side.
"Are you enjoying the movie?"
Zaydas' voice was very pleasant—low, magnetic, and smooth.
Smiling slightly, Grayfia looked at him, nodding in agreement: "Yes, it's quite interesting~"
Then, her slender fingers gently rested on Zaydas' lips. His Adam's apple moved up and down as he saw her leaning toward him. Zaydas understood her intention and, placing his hand on the nape of her neck, pulled her into a kiss.
The kiss was interrupted when a loud sound echoed. In the movie, the Protagonist's father had slapped his son.
Wrapping his arm around her, Zaydas pulled Grayfia closer to snuggle against him.
The scene unfolding in the movie was about the Protagonist expressing his desire to marry the Female Protagonist, who was his maid. In the movie, his father criticized him, saying that it was fine if he wanted her as a lover but that he couldn't have her as a wife.
...
"Did you like it?"
"Yes, especially when Miranda slapped the Lord and said: 'This is my man!' It was so thrilling!"
"But why does Breno keep calling Miranda 'Little Bee'? It's so awkward."
"Isn't it? Every time I heard him call a grown woman 'Little Bee,' I felt an indescribable secondhand embarrassment."
"Apart from that, the rest was actually good."
As he left the cinema with Grayfia, listening to the murmurs of the people, Zaydas had to agree with what they said about the Female Protagonist's nickname being 'Little Bee.' It was simply too strange to hear a grown man call a grown woman 'Little Bee' as if he were coaxing a little child.
Walking hand in hand with Grayfia, Zaydas leaned in to ask in her ear, "Did you like the movie?"
Nodding, she smiled, "Yes, it was interesting."
Checking the time and seeing that it was 10:49 in the morning, though still a bit early, he said, "Are you hungry?"
"Yes, but," she said, "I told your parents that we were in the Underworld, and they said to come over for lunch."
"You accepted? Well, it doesn't matter. If you want to go now, we can take the opportunity to announce our relationship to them," Zaydas said decisively.
Smiling a little nervously, she said, "Yes, I told them we would go."
───────────
The mansion where his father lived in the Underworld was worthy of being called a modern castle.
Although it had a somewhat old-fashioned style, there were many modern aspects. For example, most of the furniture was modern, and even the illustrated paintings followed a more contemporary style, with a few older ones that looked incredibly expensive.
Although quite eclectic, it somehow worked.
'Clearly, it was Mom who decorated all of this,' Zaydas thought to himself.
Entering the dining hall, a huge table awaited them, surrounded by several maids, while only his mother and father were there waiting for them.
Once again, he thought about how this place had an air of ancient times when nobles lived in castles. The dining hall they were in was very typical of that, even down to the candlelight.
Zatanna's interested gaze was evident. Even Sirzechs' expression was suggestive.
Perhaps they already knew something was going on between the two, but did they know they would soon be grandparents?
"Sit down," Zatanna said generously, with a gentle smile.
Zaydas pulled out the chair for Grayfia to sit. Then, he sat down beside her.
This action wasn't unusual, as Zaydas had always been a gentleman with Grayfia, but his gaze was different—so was Grayfia's. This only increased their parents' suspicions.
Within minutes, the sound of cutlery echoed.
After taking a sip of the golden wine, Sirzechs praised, "Mhm, this wine is excellent."
"Fufu. As expected of my son~" Zatanna puffed out her chest as she spoke.
Sirzechs looked at her, shrugged, and smiled.
Looking at Grayfia and then at Zaydas, Zatanna asked, "Alright, young man, I presume you have something to tell us?"
"You noticed? As expected." He said, holding Grayfia's hand and standing up while still holding hands. "Actually, Grayfia and I have become a couple."
Nudging Sirzechs with her elbow, Zatanna said cheerfully, "See? Didn't I tell you these two would end up together?"
"Yes, you're always right," Sirzechs replied.
However, Zaydas' next words made their expressions change drastically.
"And... she's expecting my child," he said. "Congratulations, you're going to be grandparents~"
"..."
"Ay, ay..."
Glaring at him, Grayfia pinched him hard on the waist.
Obviously, the way he broke the news upset her.
The worst part was that, even though she tried to hide it, the tips of her ears were slightly red.
The cutlery in Zatanna's hands fell, and in the next instant, she moved so fast it looked like teleportation, appearing behind them, placing her hands on Grayfia's shoulders—but without applying any pressure.
"Did he tell the truth?" Her voice trembled.
Obviously, she hadn't expected to become a grandmother so soon.
"Yes, mother-in-law," Grayfia looked down timidly.
Seeing her act like that, Zatanna had no doubt.
After all, she had known Grayfia for years. And to be honest, she liked Grayfia, and having her as a daughter-in-law made her immensely happy.
How long had it been since her son turned 18? Half a month?
It was incredible that, in such a short time, he had managed to break through Grayfia's barriers—even managing to get her pregnant.
"This is fantastic! I'm so happy~!" Zatanna hugged Grayfia.
Grayfia, who was still nervous, relaxed and hugged Zatanna back.
Sirzechs approached Zaydas and embraced him. "Many things are going to change for you, but I know you can handle it. After all, you're my son," he whispered in his ear.
When it came to supporting a child, that was the least of their concerns. Not to mention that they were filthy rich—but Zaydas himself had already made billions.
That was another matter they wanted to discuss with him. Thanks to the items he had left with them—whether healing potions, golden fruits, or even wines—they had all sold exceptionally well at sky-high prices.
On his own, the fortune Zaydas had amassed was enough to rival one of the 72 noble Devil families.
"No, this isn't right," Zatanna suddenly said. "Now that I know this, I can't let my daughter-in-law suffer."
Walking up to Zaydas, Zatanna pulled his ear, saying, "Boy, you have such a wonderful woman by your side, and you're still not going to marry her?"
"Urgh… Of course, I am!" Zaydas said. "I intended to talk to you about this privately later, but… now I don't think it makes sense to wait anymore."
"Humph! That's more like it~!" Zatanna let go of his ear, crossing her arms with a happy smile.
Grayfia, who heard this, said, "Mother-in-law, I don't need a grand wedding, you know."
Looking at her, Zatanna sighed. "Grayfia, I understand you and know you don't like these things, but you have to understand that if you don't do this, others will look down on you."
"Who would dare?!" Upon hearing that, Zaydas unconsciously expanded his aura.
Obviously, he was furious at the mere thought of someone looking down on the woman he loved.
"This… This power!" Zatanna was astonished.
Of course, she knew her son had grown stronger, but she never imagined he had already reached the same power level as the Maous.
Even Grayfia looked at him in total surprise.
The same could be said for Sirzechs.
"Your power is even greater than Serafall's…" Sirzechs murmured softly.
"Zay!"
Hearing his mother's shout, Zaydas came back to his senses and retracted his aura.
Scratching his head apologetically, he said, "Sorry, I just got angry thinking about someone looking down on Grayfia-nee."
Hearing this, Grayfia lowered her head, blushing.
Seeing her daughter-in-law's reaction, Zatanna was amused, but she still continued scolding Zaydas for being reckless.
───────────
The matter of their wedding moved forward and was set to take place in one month, in Zaydas' territory in the Underworld.
As for that, it was Zaydas' idea after learning that his mother had managed to trade potions for a piece of land measuring 96.8 hectares.
It was a massive piece of land with only a few days to be developed, but Zaydas was confident.
After all, he had several skills that would help him develop a land of this scale in a short period of time.
