When Ainsworth heard Elyndra's declaration to spar with him, a thought popped up inside his mind, 'Spar with me? If it's on the bed, then I accept!'
He only kept it as a thought as he dared not voice it to Elyndra. After all, while he had interactions with Elyndra and Mira before, they were mostly school-related stuff. So, he didn't know what Elyndra's view of him was, and he didn't want her meager impression of him to even worsen.
