Chapter 248 - HP: The Stellar Witch [OFC]-Chapter 247

Lys's mind was full of admiration for Regulus's perceptiveness—the Dark Lord really seemed to have done something to his own soul, and... apparently more than once.

Good God...

Splitting his soul by killing people, then stuffing it into something to preserve it—he really dared!

But thinking again, Lys's eyes lit up. Since this place was set up by the Dark Lord, and this talking thing was part of the Dark Lord... "Then do you know how to leave this place?"

Silence, still silence.

Lys sighed and propped herself up. She couldn't count on anyone—why had she thought that surviving under the Dark Lord a few times meant she could keep surviving forever?

And that Regulus—if she could get out, she'd definitely have to find out how he'd left this hellish place!

After standing up, Lys shivered all over. She didn't know what condition her body was in now, but could only force herself to pick up that locket with her wand and stuff it into a white crystal bottle.

This bottle had previously held Lys's compressed magic crystals and had very strong insulating properties.

A Horcrux was a rare thing. She'd take this locket back to study it...

She felt that locket trying hard to tempt her, but Lys now only wanted to get home quickly...

Collecting the things she'd scattered all over the ground, Lys then looked back at that pool and discovered the potion inside had been filled up again.

Such a strange potion—mother should be interested, right? And her current state was definitely related to this potion. Lys craftily used a stone sphere to take away half of these liquids.

Lys knew the main body of the liquid was still in the pool, so she carefully put two layers of protection on the stone sphere to prevent it from spilling out and returning to the stone basin.

After this series of actions, Lys was exhausted. She stuffed several pieces of candy in her mouth and rested for quite a while before standing up and leaving from the stone wall.

Now the sun was setting in the west, and the mist on the sea surface had become even thicker.

Lys stood on the shore, watching the Inferi in the sea gradually approaching her side. As she tightened her clothes and climbed onto the small boat, her mind didn't forget to mock herself:

Either she'd see these Inferi again next time, or from today on, she'd be colleagues with them forever.

Lys took advantage of those Inferi still just wandering around the boat's edge in some strange pattern, quickly pulling out more than ten magic crystals and gripping them in her right hand.

She glanced at her left hand, which was in terrible condition, and gave up the idea of distributing them evenly between left and right.

She wanted to go home.

"Splash! Splash!" Lys's leaked magic caused a reaction from the Inferi in the water.

Pale hands missing fingernails tried to climb onto this small boat, but that was all—the small boat didn't shake at all, staying steady as a rock against the shore.

Next came the life-or-death moment. Lys didn't want to choose, but she had no choice. The longer she delayed, the less hope she reckoned she'd have!

Lys exhaled and activated the magic in the crystals in her hand. "Waters gathered here, cough, follow the guidance of power—shatter!"

With each runic word she spoke, Lys extracted a portion of magic from the crystals. A deliberately controlled small water column rose from the boat's stern.

This small boat suddenly began to shake violently. Lys knew her magic had already triggered the attack response of the Inferi below.

And this boat was no longer solid as a rock. As more and more arms climbed up, it was about to capsize.

Taking advantage of the fact that the number of Inferi gathered hadn't yet overlapped! Lys raised her wand, picked up her magic and threw it out forcefully. The water flow at the boat's stern surged toward the small boat!

The huge impact force—never mind just the Inferi with only arms grabbing on—even Lys sitting in the boat was almost thrown out. Just as she was terrified, she was pressed back down hard by the no-flying restriction.

"Thank you~"

Lys continued to exert all her magic to thrust the small boat forward through the Inferi's obstruction and grasping. Gradually, Lys could no longer control the direction.

She continuously extracted magic and poured it into the shattering runic spell. Fortunately, this spell's lethality against Inferi wasn't low either—after all, much of the Inferi's defense also came from the magic enhancement during their creation.

In each impact, Lys felt like she was a ball being violently struck and sent flying. But as more and more Inferi gathered, the small boat's movement speed became slower and more laborious. When Lys glanced distractedly, she quickly moved her gaze away—where was there any sea left...

She gripped the crystals in her hand and increased the magic output.

The small boat began repeating the process of being impacted, thrown, and pressed down to fall back to the sea surface.

During this, even a smaller Inferius was thrown onto the small boat by the impact force and bit the hem of Lys's windbreaker. Lys didn't hesitate at all—she kicked this little Inferius still wearing a princess dress right back down.

Weakness and dizziness attacked Lys. She could only rely on instinct to keep Shatter running.

Lys was awakened by the cold. The moment she woke up, she burst out laughing:

"Sorry, I'll come be colleagues with you next time!"

She pushed away those broken limbs that had been grasping the small boat and torn off by the huge impact force, then climbed out of the small boat.

It seemed the navigation magic above was quite powerful—under her such frequent impacts, this boat, except for looking a bit more damaged, had still returned to its original place.

Half-kneeling on the ground, Lys tried to ignore the sound of the waves. Now thinking of anything related to the sea made her want to vomit!

Searching through her lizard-skin pouch, Lys rummaged around and was startled—where was her willow wand?

Also, why had she brought the Horcrux back?!

What had she been thinking at the time? She couldn't remember...

Lys cursed harshly—she'd been tempted! Capsized again! So annoying!

She pulled out her last two pieces of candy and stuffed them in her mouth, then staggered toward home.
