Fully armed and shouldering his pack, Amado walked out of Kara's base accompanied by Ada and Daemon. Once they boarded the airship ahead, they could reach the outside world.
"Amado, where are you going?"
Heavy footsteps echoed as Jigen approached, his calm words carrying crushing pressure.
Amado stopped, composing himself before turning around: "Victor is dead. The organization's funding is cut off. To continue manufacturing androids capable of handling our current situation, I must secure new sponsors!"
Jigen replied evenly: "Such matters can be handled by the Outers. Why handle it personally?"
Amado: "That would be too slow. We can't afford delays right now."
Jigen didn't pursue that topic. He glanced around: "Speaking of which, Delta... where has she gone?"
Amado pondered briefly: "Her? She's probably hiding somewhere, sulking alone. You know her temperament..."
Jigen's eyes narrowed: "You seem to be hiding something from me. Last night, she left and never returned."
Amado's heart lurched: Had Jigen set up surveillance barriers around the base?!
He quickly amended: "Actually, she acted on her own and ran into trouble. The drone core is stuck outside and can't return. I need to retrieve it. I was hiding this to avoid worrying you..."
But Jigen said: "Since she failed, she has no value. No need to risk recovery."
Amado replied: "True enough, but she possesses too much organizational intelligence, including the spatial coordinates of our newest base. If that intel gets stolen, we're in danger."
Jigen smiled meaningfully: "I understand some of your scientific methods. She's a true android—just data without a soul. So no need to worry about the Human Path extracting information. Also, Amado, there's a saying: tell one lie, and you need ten more to cover it up."
Jigen's eyes gleamed with soul-piercing intensity: "More importantly, if Delta truly failed, you wouldn't be calmly chatting with me like this. You'd charge out recklessly, even if it meant defying me! That's who you are!"
"I know exactly what she means to you, Amado... I can overlook your repeated lies, but this is your last chance to pull back from the brink! Once you cross this line, the consequences need no explanation!"
The atmosphere turned murderous!
Jigen had laid everything bare—he knew about the betrayal but would forgive everything if Amado turned back!
"Ah, can't hide anything from you." Amado lit a cigarette, his thoughts churning: "Jigen, no... Isshiki-sama, what are our shared interests in Kara?"
Jigen stated matter-of-factly: "The Divine Tree's chakra fruit, granting all Inner members eternal life and absolute power!"
Taking a deep drag, Amado's gaze darkened: "But there's only one Ten-Tails. Even if you successfully find a vessel and sacrifice yourself to transform the Ten-Tails into a Divine Tree that blooms and bears fruit, only one fruit can be produced. After you're reborn through Karma, how will the fruit be distributed?"
Jigen frowned, suppressing impatience: "Wasn't this already negotiated? I take half the fruit, the other half gets divided among remaining Inner members. Sure, splitting the fruit reduces the power gained, but the essence of immortality remains unchanged. Everyone gets eternal life!"
Whoosh~ Amado exhaled a smoke ring, sneering: "But that was a complete trap from the very beginning~! Isshiki-sama!"
"I know exactly what the fruit means to the Otsutsuki! It takes an entire planet's life and vitality to produce one fruit, not to mention that not all Divine Trees bear fruit! Even for gods, it's an absolutely scarce resource!"
"During the fruit's maturation, you must watch for other predators. Even you must strive for perfection! Ask yourself honestly—did you ever truly intend to share the fruit with us? Never! You're only temporarily weakened and forced to borrow our strength. Deep down, you view us as inferior beings, just like other Otsutsuki!"
"I'll be blunt—once you obtain the fruit, you'll ruthlessly eliminate us all. That's right, like crushing ants!"
Jigen's gentle expression gradually turned sinister, a cold smile playing at his lips: "Laying it all out like this... so you're determined not to turn back!"
He raised his palm: "Then... go die!"
Amado shouted: "Daemon!"
Swoosh!!
Daemon flashed forward, blocking Amado!
The instant killing intent flashed through Jigen's mind, his intended attack reflected directly back onto himself!
Crack! Crack! Crack!
Black rods pierced him, suspending him mid-air!
"What?!" Jigen's brow furrowed sharply. He'd clearly intended to attack Daemon, yet he was the one struck!
Daemon's childish face wore a wicked grin: "Hehe You wanted to kill me, right!!"
Jigen realized: "I see, so this is your latest masterpiece. No wonder it's said to surpass 'Jigen's' power..."
Daemon possessed 'Reflection'—the ability to manifest others' malicious attacks against him and reflect them back onto the attacker!
Amado said gravely: "Isshiki, if you were in your true Otsutsuki form, this reflection ability would naturally be ineffective. But right now, you're merely using the dojutsu called 'Sukunahikona' to shrink yourself and inhabit this human called 'Jigen's' brain. To use Otsutsuki power, you must release your jaw's Karma, but Jigen is an extremely inferior vessel. You even need to absorb Ten-Tails chakra to reduce Karma's thawing burden. Without a truly suitable vessel for reincarnation, how long can this body last?"
Crack! Crack! Crack!
The piercing black rods shrank back as Jigen said coldly: "How long? Long enough to eliminate you!"
"Perhaps..." Amado pulled out a transmitter: "But the moment I press this button, this space's coordinates get sent directly to Uzumaki Naruto. Once he arrives, you're dead for certain!"
"So you have only one path forward—let us leave, then run for your life and find ways to survive!"
Jigen's voice grew three degrees colder: "Insolent! Do you know who you're speaking to?!"
Bzzzzt...!
Jigen actually ignored Amado's threat and began releasing the Karma on his jaw!
"Sigh." Amado sighed helplessly: "Then let me tell you one more thing."
He opened his black coat, revealing equipment connected to his heart!
"This is called an ECG electrode. The moment my heart stops beating, the scientific ninja tool bombs I've planted deep in this base will explode. Trust me, the power is enough to level everything in this dimension! It can't kill you, Isshiki, but it's enough to destroy this 'Jigen' body, forcing you to reincarnate in this inferior vessel!!"
"You'll revive as Otsutsuki Isshiki, but without a vessel awaiting reincarnation, you can only survive a few days! Think about what's waiting outside—Uzumaki Naruto, Uchiha Madara, Uchiha Obito, Uchiha Sasuke, Senju Hashirama with Indra's eyes, even... Otsutsuki Kaguya! Against this impossible lineup, how long can you survive?!"
Hearing this, Jigen gazed toward the earth's depths and finally hesitated. He looked up, studying Amado: "Calculating to this extent... no wonder you went gray before getting old..."
Amado pointed to his temple: "Wisdom is the foundation weak life relies on for survival!"
Jigen declared: "Amado, relay this message to Uzumaki Naruto—true gods are far more terrifying than he imagines!"
Amado looked away and boarded the airship with Ada and Daemon.
Jigen could only watch helplessly as his last three subordinates swaggered away!
This marked Kara's effective dissolution!
Jigen clenched his fists.
Patterns extending from his Karma spread across his palm!
Whoosh!
He forcibly used Karma's power to open a spatial portal.
"Heh heh heh, hahahahahaha! Excellent, truly excellent! I, Isshiki, have lived a thousand years and never suffered such humiliation. Prepare to face a god's wrath, Uzumaki Naruto!!!"
...
On the airship.
Amado was completely drained.
Ada asked: "Hey, did that bomb really exist?"
Amado removed the so-called 'ECG electrode' and tossed it aside.
"If it really existed, I wouldn't be drenched in cold sweat."
He removed his glasses, rubbing his sweat-soaked temples.
Ada: "So you bluffed successfully with nothing...?"
Amado put his glasses back on: "It wasn't that simple. Isshiki has Byakugan abilities—he undoubtedly saw through my lies, yet chose not to expose them... He definitely has plans beyond our imagination. That man is far more terrifying than you think."
Gazing at the ninja world's landscape outside the airship, Amado murmured: "But that's no longer my concern. From here on, it's up to Uzumaki Naruto and those ninjas to handle..."
...
Whoosh!
Beyond the spatial portal, Jigen materialized!
He stood majestically in the sky, coldly surveying the earth below—Konohagakure!
His gaze swept toward the distant building complex, clearly the Hyuga clan's residential district!
