The Wanhao Plains in the Land of Lightning are less than ten miles from Thunder Mountain, where the Kumogakure base is located. Originally a vast plain, frequent lightning strikes have made the terrain uneven and rugged, hence the name "Wanhao."
In the center of the Wanhao Plains, three mountains of equal height form a triangular encirclement.
Naruto sat on the southern mountain, waiting for the arrival of the duo.
