Selene~
"Selene." A voice whispered in the darkness.
"Selene." Again the voice fell into my ear, and my eyes shot open. My breathing was uneven as I looked around to find someone.
I could hear my heart hammering against my rib cage as I called out, "Who's there?"
My voice wavered slightly, despite my attempt to sound firm.
No answer.
Only silence came in reply making my throat tightened.
What is happening?
I swallowed hard, clutching the sheets beneath me when the next moment, the window cracked open.
"Ah!" I screamed at the sudden action.
Not wasting another second, I got down off the bed and moved towards the door.
My eyes kept looking at the window from where the strong winds were moving the curtains giving them almost an appearance of a ghost.
My hands when reached the clutch, I tried to push it open but the door did not move an inch.
Panic rose in my chest as I struggled with the door handle, my fingers trembling.
Why wasn't it opening?
