"Even if you have told everything, it wouldn't hurt to check more."
After Akane heard whatever Jonin had said, he knocked him unconscious. He didn't trust all of Jonin's words, even though Akane had a feeling that Jonin had spoken everything correctly.
The Senior Jonin was knocked unconscious before he could understand what Akane meant, and Akane used Dream Manipulation on him. Beside him, Tsunade held his body, and she created some Shadow Clones who decided to extract other information in the meantime.
In the dream space, Akane went through everything and the Senior Jonin, known as Tadashi in Iwagakure. After knowing everything and watching Tadashi's whole life, Akane got more information about Iwagakure and how things happened there.
"The management there is better than Konoha's. Even though the Council had made a decision without Tsuchikage knowing, it was really for the sake of Iwagakure, unlike in Konoha, where they do everything for 'Konoha'."
Akane murmured before exiting the dream, and he opened his eyes outside. He felt his head lying on something smooth, and he knew what they were.
With his eyes open, he saw Tsunade, who had her eyes closed, and he looked around. The Senior Jonin was lying down unconscious, and he saw other Jonins trembling while lying on the ground. Looking at their situation, he more or less understood what had happened there, and he also understood he didn't need to check their memories.
'They might have some new information from the missions they have completed, but I don't plan on checking every single ninja's life before killing them.'
Just thinking of looking at everyone's life and the consequences it could have on Akane's mind hurt his head, and he didn't want to pay more attention to this since he had other things to do.
"One mission completed, two more to go."
Murmuring those words, he left Tsunade's embrace and waited for Tsunade to go through the Shadow Clone's memories. It didn't take long for Tsunade to open her eyes, and at that moment, Akane also sorted the information he had received in the dream.
'Fate sure has its way. If it weren't for the clans in Konoha, Konoha wouldn't be the Konoha known in the world. The other villages don't have the clans having alien bloodlines, excluding a few individuals and even then, they can be said to be on par with Konoha, which is favoured by 'fate'.'
'Well, I could ponder on this topic for a long time, but I don't think I will get a definite answer. However, I think looking into libraries of other villages and checking their techniques would be a good idea. I had been ignoring them since I had the 'best' of the 'generation', but I was being narrow-minded.'
When Tsunade opened her eyes, she took a look around. She looked at the Jonins and Chunins, whose only bodies were needed and then looked at Akane.
"Destroy their head and pack them in the sealing scroll. Orochimaru said four days, so we will finish the mission in four days."
Akane nodded at her words, and he understood what she was trying to say. This base was enough to show that they had completed the mission and, most importantly, the information they had obtained was worth S-rank missions.
"There aren't bases around here, besides the ones at other borders. But we don't need to care for those, right?"
Tsunade thought for a while instead of answering instantly. Looking at her, Akane narrowed his eyes and wondered what she was thinking.
"Those bases, it wouldn't make sense to raid them since they can be used to keep watch on others."
"I know, I am thinking of how much we should add to the report," Tsunade spoke with a thoughtful face, and Akane understood what she was thinking about. They had quite a lot of information in their hands, and not every one of them was something they could present.
"And also how much we should show to Orochimaru," Akane mentioned with a glint in his eyes, and Tsunade looked at him.
"You plan on roping him, right?" She asked, not even a second later, and Akane chuckled at her words.
"Yeah, there are some things in which I think Orochimaru could help me. Besides, it will also help you more in future." Akane didn't disagree with her words. He knew sooner or later she would guess it since he wasn't really hiding anything from her.
"The more curious you make him, the more your chances would increase."
"Chances? I will rope him," Akane replied with a confident look on his face, and Tsunade rolled her eyes at her words. She knew that he had enough knowledge and abilities to rope Orochimaru into their group, and if even then he were to reject, she knew with whom Akane would talk.
"So, have you thought of everything?"
Tsunade nodded at his words and told what she had in her mind. Hearing her words, Akane nodded and made a note of the points she told him. When they were done discussing what they would write in the report, Akane killed the remaining Jonin and sealed them in a sealing scroll.
"We still have three days before the meeting time. What do you want to do in the meantime?" Tsunade asked Akane.
They had left the battlefield area and were now looking for a place to camp for the night. Even though they could camp anywhere for the night, it would be better if they found a water source and camped beside the source.
"I don't have anything special in my mind. Let's just rest and go with the flow for now. You can take your time to create a report and ponder over your thoughts, and I will do the same since I have a technique and a few ideas in my mind."
Tsunade looked at Akane and nodded at his words. She thought of the events that happened today and the information she had received, especially the different outlooks on different villages, and how similar they were.
Even though she didn't say anything, those thoughts were stuck in the back of her mind, and when she got some free time, she would start thinking about them.
'He must have known that I am thinking of these things.'
Tsunade whispered to herself in her mind and looked at Akane's back, who had sped up because he had information about the water source from the Zetsu.
'Just like other moments where he understood what I wanted before I could even say anything.'
Thinking of those moments, a gentle look appeared on Tsunade's face, and she looked at Akane with a loving gaze.
Akane noticed a slight change in the atmosphere around Tsunade and turned his head to look at her. Looking at her expression, he wondered what thought came into her mind and why she was looking at him with a loving look in her eyes.
