"Not good!"
The Demon King was shocked.
But he didn't have time to turn around.
BOOM!!!
Finn's arm struck like a venomous serpent, and a whip kick slammed down hard.
!!!
The Demon King was launched backward, crashing to the ground with a thunderous thud.
His body was struck with such force that several ribs were shattered.
"Ah!!"
The Demon King screamed in agony. He struggled to rise, glaring at Finn with fury burning in his eyes.
It was a disgrace—he, a majestic demon lord, being dominated by a human.
"Human, you have angered me," the Demon King growled.
In the next moment, a cluster of pitch-black energy condensed in his hands, radiating a terrifying aura.
BOOM!
Then, the Demon King's figure exploded forward.
"Death Orb!!"
BANG!!!
The pitch-black energy sphere tore through the void, rocketing toward Finn.
"Hmph, small tricks."
Finn smiled faintly. In the next instant, a sharp, resonating hum of steel echoed.
The blade in Finn's hand gleamed with brilliant white light.
BOOM!!!
Finn swept his sword across in a powerful arc.
The dark orb of death energy disintegrated instantly, shattered into nothingness.
The Demon King's pupils shrank, his expression twisting into horror.
The power behind that sword—it suffocated him with its oppressive force.
What is this...?
He could feel it clearly: this human's aura was weak—unrefined, even. So why had he suddenly released such terrifying power?
"Disgusting!!"
The Demon King's face contorted further in rage. "I will kill you here—without fail!!!"
WHOOSH!!!
His figure disappeared instantly, lunging toward Finn.
"Heh, you demons really are despicable," Finn sneered, his tone dripping with disdain. A wicked grin tugged at the corners of his mouth, his cold gaze locked on the charging demon.
To Finn, this so-called Demon King was nothing special.
"Despicable?!"
The Demon King snarled at the insult, a veil of murderous intent clouding his features. "In the face of absolute power, your mockery will fade!"
"Really?" Finn replied coolly. "Do you think you've already won?"
"No matter how strong trash is—it's still trash," the Demon King hissed.
Even though Finn's strength had far exceeded his expectations, in the Demon King's eyes, humans remained ants—insignificant and expendable.
"Then have you heard this before?"
A glint of amusement crossed Finn's face.
"What?" the Demon King asked, brow furrowing.
"Victory never belongs to any one being... it only belongs to the final winner." Finn's voice was calm, almost detached.
"Arrogant fool! I am a Demon King! I will not be defeated by the likes of you!"
The Demon King was furious. In the blink of an eye, he vanished once more.
Finn narrowed his eyes, his face darkening.
"Let's settle this in battle!"
BOOM!!!
The Demon King reappeared before Finn in an instant.
His wings surged with force, propelling him forward to kill.
"Your speed is as slow as a snail,"
"And your strength? It's nothing."
Finn said it quietly, almost mockingly, before raising his right foot.
Slap.
A crisp, echoing sound.
Finn stomped directly on the Demon King's chest.
CRACK!!!
The sound of breaking bone echoed.
"AH!!!"
The Demon King screamed again, writhing beneath Finn's boot.
Finn gazed down at him with cold dominance, a cruel smile curving on his lips.
"You!!"
The Demon King's eyes widened. He never expected that he wouldn't even be Finn's match.
"You've already lost."
Finn said it like an executioner delivering judgment.
"I won't lose!!!" the Demon King roared, his fury blazing.
SWISH SWISH SWISH!!
A manic glint flashed in his eyes.
"Devil's Claw!!"
He howled, his hand morphing into jagged claws, and lunged at Finn with savage fury.
"Courting death!!!"
Finn's eyes turned ice-cold.
The longsword in his hand moved like a flash of silver lightning—swift, precise, ruthless.
BOOM!!!
A brutal clash resounded.
"R!!!"
The Demon King stared in disbelief, pain blazing through his arm.
His claw—his entire hand—was shattered.
All five fingers were crushed, blood spurting freely.
"You broke my fingers—you wretched human! I'll kill you! I'll grind your bones to ash—I'll feast on your soul!!!" the Demon King bellowed.
"Do you think you're capable of anything at all?"
…asking for flowers...
Finn's expression was unreadable. Then, he vanished in a flash.
"What?!"
The Demon King's pupils dilated as though he'd seen a ghost.
His body instinctively jerked back, trying to retreat.
"Trying to run?"
Finn's voice sliced through the air like a dagger.
BOOM!!!
In the next instant, a storm of flames erupted from the ground.
A hellfire vortex exploded outward, engulfing the entire battlefield in mere seconds.
"AH!!!"
The Demon King's shrieks echoed as his body was scorched by infernal fire.
The energy surged around them, swallowing everything in its path.
The Demon King's form burned amid the flame storm, his flesh bubbling, crackling—an agonizing symphony of pain.
"Like I said, you're nothing but garbage—just like Mephisto once was."
...0...
Finn raised the Sword of the Vishanti. Its radiant blade shimmered coldly, reflecting a brilliance that illuminated the sky like dawn light through the storm.
BOOM!!!
A low rumble stirred the ground.
Everyone turned their gaze toward the horizon.
In the distance, a wave of shadowy figures approached through the sky—hundreds of them. Each one had large, menacing black wings sprouting from their backs.
"Hm?"
Finn narrowed his eyes.
Two of the figures at the front broke from the swarm and sprinted toward him.
As they drew closer, Finn recognized them.
Stephen Strange and Brice.
Both were in terrible condition. Their bodies were coated in blood, faces pale and drained of all composure.
They were barely recognizable.
"Ahem..."
Stephen tried to speak, but a sharp pain in his chest silenced him. It felt like thousands of venomous insects were burrowing into his flesh.
Brice was no better. His entire body trembled from pain, his voice caught in his throat.
"You sent spies to investigate," the Demon King, suddenly upright and seemingly recovered, spoke again—his tone disturbingly calm.
There wasn't even a hint of injury on him.
"That's the only reason I showed up here, isn't it?"
His words sent a chill down Finn's spine.
"What the hell is going on...?"
Finn muttered, his frown deepening.
There was something wrong.
Something wasn't adding up.
The Demon King—his injuries, his sudden recovery, the ambush...
There was more to this than he'd anticipated.
