Chapter 209 - Chapter 209 : Terrifying Atmosphere

"You... what weapon are you using? Why do I feel like my demon wings are useless?"

The original Mephisto stared at Finn with a ferocious expression, but his heart was in complete turmoil, as though at that moment, all his power had abandoned him. A deep sense of helplessness gripped him.

There was unwillingness burning in his eyes.

At this moment—he lost.

"I'll tell you when you're in Hell, but... not yet."

The words fell like a death sentence.

Finn raised the Sword of the Vishanti, a weapon pulsing with violently chaotic energy. Silver lightning flickered wildly along the blade, radiating terrifying magical power.

Just as he was about to pierce Mephisto's heart, an even more sinister and violently surging dark aura descended from the sky.

The original Mephisto took advantage of the moment, shattering Finn's binding enchantments and fleeing.

Finn turned his gaze to the heavens—and froze.

Above him, countless massive stars hung suspended mid-air.

Each star shimmered intensely.

Together, they formed an expansive astral domain—a terrifying stellar sea.

From within this star-laced dimension, a soul-chilling, abyssal energy poured forth, spreading fear like a sentient virus.

A deep, maddening aura exuded from the cosmic void, as though something monstrous and ancient was awakening.

Clusters of dense, black clouds roiled together in the middle of the galaxy.

Something was being born.

SWISH!!!

Suddenly, a beam of pitch-black light tore through the skies and struck down.

A gargantuan demon appeared, its vast form blotting out both sun and sky.

He wore a long, obsidian cloak, and his presence radiated an overwhelming force. Power surged from every inch of him.

His scarlet, bloodthirsty eyes glowed with malice as they locked onto Finn.

"The Demon King...!"

The original Mephisto's expression twisted into one of dread as he screamed.

"You've got guts—breaking into my domain."

The Demon King's voice was detached, indifferent, yet carried an undercurrent of godlike menace. His very presence distorted reality.

"You're the Demon King?"

Finn's voice was cold.

"I am the King."

The Demon King didn't elaborate.

BOOM!

Without wasting another word, Finn slashed with the Sword of the Vishanti. The blade cleaved the air, trailing behind it a streak of otherworldly energy and a murderous intent that could annihilate gods.

"What an attack...!"

The Demon King's gaze flickered slightly. Even so, in his eyes, Finn was still an insect, a powerful one, perhaps—but nothing more than an insect.

"But compared to me, you're still far too immature."

He raised his arms and formed an infernal seal, invoking demonic sorcery.

In response, the astral domain behind him shimmered as thousands of stars burst into brilliance.

Those stars twisted, converging into an enormous blade of astral energy that crashed downward toward Finn.

BOOM!

The two attacks collided.

The resulting blast echoed like a thousand thunderclaps. The ground shook. Energy crackled and exploded.

The shockwave alone vaporized everything nearby.

Both Finn and the Demon King were pushed backward.

"You're strong, boy. No wonder you're arrogant enough to challenge the Demon King. You've got some real tricks up your sleeve."

The original Mephisto glared at Finn. His face was pale with fury.

"All that means is you're a failure. No, calling you a failure would insult the word itself."

Finn shot back, his voice dripping with contempt.

"Bastard! You're dead!"

The original Mephisto's rage boiled over. His body erupted with pure demonic energy. His wings of darkness flared to life, radiant with hellish power.

He looked like a beast from the ancient void, cloaked in chaos.

BOOM!

He charged, wings aflame, and his weapon clashed violently with the Demon King's own conjured spear.

Explosions of magic and power followed in every direction.

The collision tore holes in the air itself, creating rips in the dimensional fabric.

They were both forced to retreat again.

Mephisto's body was bloodied, mangled, but his eyes were filled with madness and an almost suicidal desire to destroy.

Finn narrowed his eyes. "The original Mephisto's power isn't the problem—it's the Demon King. He's trouble."

He felt it—an ominous sensation in his soul.

He wanted to unleash the full power of the Vishanti's magic, but the constraints of the cosmic balance, bound by the system's quest conditions, held him back. If he broke the limit now, everything he had built could collapse.

"You're impressive, human. That's why I've decided—"

The Demon King stepped forward. The stars circled him like satellites.

"—I'll make you my slave."

...requesting support...

"Your body is strong—your spirit even stronger. Join my faction. Submit, and you'll receive infinite power. You could become the next Mephisto."

He extended his offer.

Finn laughed darkly. "You're out of your mind. Do you really think I'd agree to that?"

"If you refuse, you won't leave here alive."

The Demon King raised his spear and pointed it directly at Finn.

His killing intent flooded the field.

If Finn did not kneel, the only other option was death. He couldn't allow a human of Finn's power to remain free.

Such a risk was intolerable.

"You think you can stop me from leaving?"

Finn smirked.

"You humans really don't know your place."

The Demon King's voice was like ice.

"All I know is every demon I've met is garbage."

Finn's tone dropped to a deadly cold. His eyes scanned the gathered enemies—his presence radiating absolute killing intent.

"You'd better surrender, boy," Mephisto growled. "Or you'll face death."

His voice trembled with hatred.

He echoed the Demon King's demand—hoping this time, Finn would finally crack.

"Hmph. You two think you can take me?"

Finn didn't move, his words colder than space.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

From above, the heavens roared again.

One by one, figures emerged, descending from the astral realm.

More Mephistos.

The ones Finn had already defeated—twelve of them, apostles of the Demon King—returned with bloodlust in their eyes.

And behind them—an army.

The demon horde.

Every last one of them had assembled.

"Do you still think your power is enough to defy us?"

The Demon King's voice was calm, but the threat was absolute.

Finn's eyes narrowed.

Surrounded on all sides.

He was alone—but unbroken.

And the storm was just beginning.
