Gerone had served under Abdon for years and was well aware of his terrifying power. Yet, even he was astounded by the display unfolding before him:

Abdon had an Undying body, magic power as vast as the sea, and he unleashed forbidden chants with effortless ease.

Abdon's elemental magic had all reached the level of Great Ascension, rendering forbidden chants as easy for him as eating or drinking. An ordinary wizard would exhaust their magical power after casting forbidden chants three times at most. But Abdon's body seemed like a bottomless well of power.

Every Barut citizen who understood magic trembled in awe and terror before Abdon's display.

He is an invincible force!

"You seek eternal life?"

"How unfortunate that your life ends here!"

"Your strength is formidable, but compared to the pinnacle of power in this era, you're far from the top!"

In the arena, only Rojen remained calm.

His Rinnegan abruptly transformed, its irises turning crimson and three jet-black tomoe appearing. With a swift rotation, they coalesced into a windmill pattern.

Gripping Seven Stars in his right hand, he coated the blade with Armament Haki.

"Whether it's Whitebeard or the Golden Lion, their power is at its absolute peak! Every aspect of their being radiates overwhelming strength—their audacity and their bodies, which are brimming with explosive force!"

"But you...You're just a frog trapped at the bottom of a well. You've glimpsed the world through the well's opening, yet you mistakenly believe that's all there is!"

"How utterly laughable!"

Rojen's voice dripped with disdain as he mocked Abdon with utter contempt.

Yes, Abdon's abilities were truly heaven-defying. His Undying Magic made him nearly invincible, and his terrifying Forbidden Chant acted like a holographic Logia, unleashing a destructive force to be reckoned with.

By this point in the battle, Abdon had destroyed nearly half of King's Island, leaving the enormous royal palace in ruins. Countless people lay dead, and the survivors fled in terror.

However, Abdon's weaknesses were equally apparent:

His frail physical body, limited combat experience, and reliance on magic that made him difficult to harm.

Despite his seemingly overwhelming power, he had only destroyed one of his Deva Path clones thus far.

Abdon lacked Kenbunshoku, Busoshoku, and even Conquers Haki.

Such weaknesses might not be a problem against ordinary foes, but against anyone who has truly mastered Haki in the New World, even the weakest could beat him half to death.

"To have been locked in combat with you this long is a disgrace!"

With those final words, Rojen surged forward, his Seven Stars blades slashing through the void.

Whoosh!

A brilliant cyan slash erupted, arcing through the air like a crescent moon with incredible speed. The blade traced a graceful arc and vanished in an instant.

"Getsuga Tenshō!"

This slash was forged purely from Armament Haki and was even more potent than before.

Abdon was overwhelmed by its terrifying velocity and didn't have time to cast a spell before being cleaved in two once more.

"Useless! My body is undying!" Abdon sneered.

But the next moment, he saw Rojen's eyes, the pitch-black windmill in them suddenly spun violently. Then, his world turned crimson.

"Tsukuyomi!"

Slightly stunned, Abdon sneered.

"Soul magic? To use such magic against me...how disappointing!"

This was mockery. As a mage who specialized in magic, his greatest strength was his immense mental power.

His mental power erupted, breaking free, and the crimson world shattered.

But the Animal Path had already reached him simultaneously. Its arms were coated in Armament Haki, and it seized Abdon's arms, pinning him to the ground.

Abdon scoffed when he opened his eyes and realized he was restrained.

"Trying to kill me? Dream on!"

All he saw were Rojen's cold, indifferent eyes.

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Technique!"

Flames erupted fiercely, and Abdon's face paled instantly.

He struggled desperately to break free, but the Animal Path held him as tightly as iron shackles, pinning him to the spot.

"Are you insane?! You'll be consumed by the flames, too! Let go of me!"

Abdon screamed in terror. He feared no form of attack as long as his body retained some existence and his soul remained intact because he could resurrect himself endlessly using the Life Magic he had perfected. His only true concern was his aging body gradually approaching its natural limit.

Nature had decreed that the human body had a finite lifespan. Despite his profound understanding of the soul and mastery of the secrets of the Undying Body, he could not defy this fundamental law of nature. No matter how powerful one became, defying the laws of nature remained impossible.

Even Whitebeard, as mighty as he was, could not withstand the relentless erosion of time. As he aged, his body grew increasingly frail.

Abdon had already sensed the beginning of this decline. That's why he could proudly proclaim his mastery of the Primordial Power. If he was successful, he would surely attain immortality!

However, this power had a weakness: his fear of fire. Fire and lightning suppress souls. If his body shattered and his soul was exposed, a single flame could annihilate him completely!

He would die! Truly die!

Throughout his life, Abdon had done so much and poured so much effort into evading death. He dreaded mortality, driving himself to frenzied research. Now, at one hundred and fifty-six years old, Whitebeard looked like a grandson compared to him.

But now, in this moment, as he faced these flames, he felt the icy breath of death making his entire body tremble with primal terror.

"No! Don't! Don't kill me!"

Whoosh!

The flames surged forward like a raging storm and consumed his body in the blink of an eye.

Fueled by the intense heat, the flames blazed furiously, engulfing Abdon's body in an instant. His screams echoed relentlessly as he was completely engulfed by the inferno.

Still, the Animal Path's hands, firmly gripping his back, prevented him from moving an inch.

Sizzle, sizzle, sizzle!

The flames gradually intensified, reducing Abdon's flesh and skin to ashes in an instant.

By then, the Animal Path, its arms already ablaze, had vanished into a wisp of white smoke.

It was a reverse summoning, the same method Rojen had used to retrieve the Deva Path earlier.

"Die, you frog at the bottom of the well, blind to the immensity of the world outside!" Rohen declared coldly, watching impassively. "Let me tell you this: Only true power is eternal!"

Ten breaths later, Abdon had been reduced to ashes, utterly and irrevocably dead.

Beside them, Salo and the others stared wide-eyed, their fists clenched tight.

"What...what did I just witness? Was that real?"

"It's real! Ha ha ha ha! Abdon's dead! Excellent!" Asi roared with laughter, unable to contain his elation.

"This New King is absolutely incredible! I've decided to marry Nalene to him!" Toron said with a smile. Behind her, the beautiful young woman blushed, but her eyes showed no resistance.

At that moment, Rojen's thoughts drifted to another figure from the original story who bore a striking resemblance to Abdon.

That brat... Heh heh... I'll have to pay him a visit sooner or later!"
