Michael got to his study and scribbled something on a white sheet; putting the pen back in the stand, he got up, reaching for their bedroom. Turning the door open, he noticed Layla immediately getting up and walking up to him. It hurt him to see her eyes which had turned red from crying.
Without wasting a second, he leaned in and pecked her lips and walked past her. Layla caught him nearing Charlotte; seeing him fishing out a sheet from his pocket, she felt a bit nervous. What was written in them? Is it another deal?
"I will only let you live in this mansion if you follow these rules…" Layla dashed to reach his side when he passed the sheet of paper to Charlotte's hands.
'You have to swear, you won't indulge in any harm to my family.'
'You can't control Layla; she's mine and I'll be responsible for her acts.'
'You won't scold my kids.'
