Elysia was feeling lonely after almost everyone had left the house; it was now only her and Nana, other than the house staff, maids, and guards. She sighed and climbed on her bed. Sleep wasn't easy to come by, with her thoughts getting back to the only person she could call family – Layla.
Just then, a faint sound of something snapping caught her attention. She became aware of her surroundings; turning on the bed lamp, she advanced towards the door. Elysia gauged the decision to open the door.
However, she heard the sound of multiple gunshots from outside. Sprinting back to the window, her face scrunched, catching sight of the horrific scene on offer. Almost every one of them died, and those who survived mourned in pain.
"Ahh!" she exclaimed when the door to the room burst open. Before she could even turn back, she heard someone's voice that made her shiver in fear.
"Elysia." It was David's voice.
