Despite Veylara's healing, the prisoners still tried to pounce at them mindlessly and when Veylara saw that, her face turned grim.
She looked at Kael and noticed he was already looking at her. The two of them stared at each other in silence for a good while, then—
"Are you thinking the same thing?"
Veylara asked and Kael—
He nodded.
"Yes, they are corrupted."
Elira frowned at those words.
"Corrupted? Where are their Bonds?"
She didn't understand.
A Corrupted Human was a human who used the Power of Corruption to strengthen his Bonds. Even if these people were corrupted, what did that have anything to do with their state? Wasn't that an entirely different topic? Or was she missing something?
Arlan had a frown on his face as well.
And Kael—
"No."
He shook his head.
"Not their Bonds, they are dead.
I am talking about them.
*They* are corrupted."
