Everything came to a strange pause, waiting for the family's new member to appear.
Then the transformation began.
The golden light covering the Egg became denser, the Egg's dark silver shell started to change, at first, thin golden cracks appeared across the surface, but Kael could see they were not real cracks.
They looked more like glowing lines being carved into the Egg by some ancient hand, then the black color began to fade.
The silver became something… deeper.
Something… heavier.
