Lavinia leaned forward eagerly, scooping her own portion. The moment it touched her tongue, her eyes lit up as well.
"Indeed."
She nodded at Kael's words.
"It's balanced… soft, warm, even sweet at the end.
This doesn't taste like rations at all—it tastes so much better."
She looked at Maela with an approving smile.
"What they said was right, your hands have magic in them. You turned simple supplies into something so delicious and comforting.
I knew it was the right choice to come to you."
Kael nodded firmly, swallowing another bite.
"Absolutely! Grandma Maela, you are indeed the best!
I can eat this all day, all year, for the rest of my life!"
