Kael countered.
"What would you have done? Feed the old?"
"Yes."
"What about the Emergency Ration then?"

Kael answered confidently, but Lavinia—
"What way, Kael?"
She questioned directly.
"What way?"
She repeated her question.
"I… I would have tried to farm on the mountain lands."
