Ino's understanding of the Demon Realm wasn't deep. She only knew pieces of information, such as the existence of Demon Realm King Dabura and that King Piccolo belonged to the Demon Clan. The rest? The original work didn't mention it, so she didn't know.
She asked, "Lord Supreme Kai, if the war reaches a critical moment, will that Demon Realm King Dabura personally intervene? Does our universe have any rule-based restrictions regarding the entry of such beings? For example, would he be suppressed the moment he enters, unable to exert even half of his full strength?"
The Supreme Kai chuckled on the other end. "Haha, you should read fewer novels. Suppressed by cosmic space? I don't know if such a thing specifically exists, but I've certainly never heard of it. The Demon Clan coming over has no negative impact on them, and we wouldn't be suppressed if we went to the Demon Realm either. Regardless of everything else, the Demon Realm is also a part of the multiverse."
Ino clicked her tongue. "Well, that's entirely unscientific..."
She was somewhat wary of Dabura. In her impression, this Demon Realm King's battle power seemed similar to Cell's. The reason his performance in the original work was mediocre was mainly because Cell was a major arc boss, while the Demon Realm King was just an elite monster in the next arc. Times had changed, and coupled with their different positionings, this Demon Realm King was at a disadvantage simply because he "debuted" a bit too late.
Not only did this guy have high battle power, but he also possessed a whole bunch of skills that couldn't be definitively classified as either magic or superpowers. His fighting style was similar to Ino's, both belonging to the "dual physical and magical cultivation" type.
If the Demon Realm King intervened and tied Ino down, the tens of thousands of Konoha ninja facing a Demon Clan army numbering in the hundreds of millions would truly have a hard time winning.
A hint of hesitation appeared in the Supreme Kai's tone. "As for whether Dabura will personally participate in the war, I can only say... it's uncertain. Dabura's style is cunning, and no one knows his true thoughts. You must be prepared to fight with all your strength."
He didn't offer to personally come and help fight, and Ino didn't ask this mascot-like Supreme Kai to participate in the war either.
If she couldn't defeat Dabura herself, the Supreme Kai coming over would just be giving the enemy a free kill. It was better to keep him as a banner; if they truly couldn't hold the line, they could still use him to ask the other universes for help.
Currently, the best-case scenario would be Demon Realm King Dabura going to the other universes instead. Then, when the other universes asked the Seventh Universe for help, they could reap benefits and favors from all sides, making a massive profit.
...
Konoha began to intensively prepare for war.
Ino specifically took a trip to Earth.
Over the past few years, due to the unification of the five villages, the ninja could no longer find enemies on the Blue Planet, and their fighting spirit had visibly declined. Shikamaru had compiled the statistics: the number of ninja capable of participating in the war was around sixty thousand.
The samurai of the Land of Iron could mobilize eight thousand people to participate in the war. Adding up the ninja from the remaining small ninja villages, they could scrape together about two thousand more ninja. However, these ninja could basically only wave flags and cheer; their qualities in other aspects like ninjutsu and taijutsu were vastly inferior to Konoha ninja.
Ino went to Earth, gathered the Dragon Balls there, and resurrected all the ninja who had been killed by Uchiha Obito, Madara, and the White Zetsu army.
As long as they agreed with the "One Konoha" principle and recognized the Hokage's rule, and if their bodies hadn't been cremated, she brought them all back with a single wish.
This included a large batch of elites like the Fourth Raikage, Killer B, and Zabuza.
Adding these newly resurrected ninja, the number of ninja within the ninja village exceeded a hundred thousand.
Would the resurrected ninja have conflicts with the ninja currently in the village, leading to economic disputes or personal grudges? Ino ignored all of that. She only handled the resurrections; the rest of those trivial matters were entirely dumped on Koharu Utatane and the administrative council to deal with.
Krillin offered to help, but Ino flatly rejected him. Were you trying to help me fight? You just wanted an excuse to see No. 18, didn't you?
It was better to leave the Super Saiyan transformation device for Son Goku to use. Perhaps when fighting Bojack, Son Goku would get angry enough to transform into Super Saiyan 2.
Now that this timeline had been heavily meddled with by Ino, Super Saiyan 2 hadn't even been born yet. It had to be said, their lineup was truly a bit weak right now.
With a full forty thousand ninja resurrected, Konoha's storehouses were thrown wide open, allowing the ninja to collect various chakra weapons and scientific ninja tools.
Ino even issued massive commissions to several clans specializing in talisman making: explosive tags. She wanted many, many explosive tags!
Ino also called Konan back from the chamber of commerce.
Deidara might be better at explosions, but that guy cross-dressed every day, swindling people and ruining Ino's reputation, which made her very dissatisfied. Sister Konan was much better: she was pretty, had a nice voice, and crucially, was extremely skilled at using explosive tags.
Ino herself wasn't afraid of the Demon Realm's army. Even if hundreds of thousands or millions came, she wouldn't blink an eye.
But just because she wasn't afraid didn't mean the ninja wouldn't be.
According to the Supreme Kai, the Demon Realm soldiers came in various bizarre shapes and sizes, and their attack methods were entirely alien. Suddenly facing so many monsters and demons in today's environment, where the overall climate had been peaceful for so many years, she was worried the ninja would succumb to fear.
Once, when a guard on duty saw the spectral figure of a young lady in red at a distant grave, the very next day they dragged over a cannon and leveled the grave entirely. The young lady never appeared again.
This incident fully illustrated a fundamental truth: all fear stems from insufficient firepower.
If the firepower was sufficient, even if a Great Old One jumped out, they could blow it to pieces!
Ninjutsu airships, the technological crystallization exclusive to the ninja villages, constantly patrolled the skies. The chakra cannons originally belonging to Kumogakure were separately deployed at strategic locations and critical chokepoints across the Five Great Nations and the various ninja villages.
Holding out purely in Konoha Village was ill-advised. According to Ino's speculations and her analysis of the novels she had read, the Demon Clan invading the material realm was partly to plunder resources, but also to capture the population.
If they defended Konoha to the death but the population of the Five Great Nations was taken away, what could their hundred-odd thousand ninja possibly do without a massive population base to support them?
The enemy could concentrate their forces and attack any single point, while the defenders had to guard all sides. This was the precise reason why many evil factions gained the upper hand in the initial stages of battle, forced a stalemate, and finally caused the defenders to suffer successive defeats.
"Two civilized planets in the Sixth Universe have been breached by the Demon Realm army."
"A number of traitors have appeared in the Ninth Universe. Their warriors are struggling to hold on against the Demon Realm army."
"Traces of the Demon Clan have suspectedly appeared in the South Galaxy."
Every morning, Ino would communicate with the Supreme Kai to share intelligence from various locations.
She also tried searching the South Galaxy herself, but the result was that she only saw a few very ordinary Demon Clan warriors.
Future Trunks and No. 17 were both dispatched by her to serve as a mobile strike force. As long as the enemy's main force dared to enter the Seventh Universe, regardless of their target, they would be met with a head-on, crushing blow.
If she were truly courageous, Ino should have personally rushed to the Demon Realm to scout and obtain first-hand intelligence before returning to prepare. Unfortunately, just like what she said when teaching her daughter, she wasn't that reckless; she would rather play it safe than take unnecessary risks.
It was better to honestly fight a defensive counterattack. Even if someone died in battle, they could be resurrected using the Dragon Balls. There was nothing to worry about.
