Chapter 313: One-Tails vs. Four-Tails
The Four Red Yang Formation held for another ten seconds or so.
Jiraiya had the other three stand down.
Because Shisui's Kotoamatsukami had succeeded.
Chiyo transformed from being hostile to Konoha to being friendly and was willing to provide assistance to Konoha within her capabilities.
Ebizō seemed to have been buried in the Iron Sand, but whether the old man could actually come back to life was really hard to say.
Jiraiya used Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld to sink the square block of Iron Sand deep into the earth. Go be a living fossil down there.
There was no time to waste now; they had to take Granny Chiyo back to Konoha immediately.
Kakashi used Earth Release to turn the ground over twice, erasing all traces of the battle.
Ino had Shisui rest in the Soul-Nurturing Wood. She could feel that by controlling the Mangekyo Sharingan with his soul body, Shisui's soul was on the verge of shattering; he was just barely holding on.
You can't die. And more importantly, nothing can happen to the Mangekyo Sharingan.
She had gone through all this trouble just for this left eye.
She injected some Yin-attribute chakra with the effect of the "Mind Disturbance God Technique" into the Soul-Nurturing Wood for Shisui to rest well...
Even though Granny Chiyo had become a friend of Konoha, they didn't swagger out and start commanding the Sand Village ninjas.
Let them continue their chaos!
With Jiraiya in the lead, Tsunade, Ino, and Chiyo in the middle, and Kakashi at the rear, the group followed their pre-arranged plan, bypassing the chaotic Sand Village, preparing to cross the sea of sand and return to the Land of Fire.
"Wait! Look at the sky!" Ino suddenly called out, having everyone look up.
They saw Akatsuki's Deidara and Sasori riding a giant clay bird, searching the vicinity.
Normal people don't look up at the sky for no reason. It was only because Ino had experience in this area that she spotted Deidara at the first opportunity.
She saw Deidara. Deidara, from his high vantage point, had a much better view than her. Plus, the area around the Sand Village was a desert, with not many forests to obstruct the line of sight. Deidara had seen her two seconds earlier.
Deidara observed them with his telescope, then said with great interest, "Big Brother Sasori, your grandma…"
Sasori was very displeased. If you have something to say, just say it. You unlucky child, why do you start cursing the moment you open your mouth?
As a Hiruko puppet, he naturally had no such thing as tact. Deidara, who loved clay but not Kurotsuchi, giggled foolishly like a child. "Big Brother Sasori, why is your grandma hanging out with Konoha's ninjas?"
Sasori was extremely annoyed by his "your grandma this," "your grandma that," but he was stunned by the end of the sentence. Chiyo, that old hag, is with people from Konoha?
He looked down.
Ino and the others didn't want to get entangled with the Akatsuki at this time and immediately initiated plan B.
The Flying Thunder God Technique!
They couldn't use it in a proper battle because their neural reaction speed couldn't keep up with the speed of teleportation; the Flying Thunder God Technique could easily turn into a suicide technique. But as a means of ultra-long-distance retreat, it was no problem.
The group had already placed technique markers along the way. At this moment, Ino, with the most chakra, took Orochimaru and Chiyo; Tsunade took Jiraiya; and Kakashi flew by himself. The six of them instantly disappeared from the spot.
Sasori stood on the back of the clay bird and looked down. The ground below was empty; not even a ghost's shadow could be seen.
"Deidara, where is that old hag Chiyo you were talking about? Why can't I see her?" The Hiruko puppet's vision was very problematic. Sasori switched perspectives back and forth but couldn't see anyone.
"Your grandma was right down there! Your grandma, she was mixed up with Konoha's ninjas, your grandma she…"
Deidara looked down, and three question marks also appeared above his head.
Strange, there were several living people here just now. How did they disappear in the blink of an eye?
"Your grandma was right here just now. How did she suddenly disappear? I don't think I saw wrong, that was your grandma."
Deidara's words gave Sasori a headache. He wanted to curse a few times but didn't know where to start.
Cursing wildly didn't fit his persona, so he endured it with great difficulty.
"Whoa! Big Brother Sasori, look over there! A Tailed Beast battle!"
Deidara's attention quickly shifted to the direction of the Sand Village. Sasori had long lost his humanity. What does your grandma or my grandma have to do with me?
He also looked over.
Without Miss Maki using her chakra cloth as the main sealer, the remaining Sand ninjas were simply unable to seal the Four-Tails.
Forced into a corner, Gaara could only use his Tailed Beast transformation to fight the Four-Tails head-on.
Among the nine Tailed Beasts, the Nine-Tails was the strongest, and the Eight-Tails was second. There was basically no dispute about this.
Who was number three? Opinions varied, and even the Tailed Beasts themselves couldn't agree on a ranking of strength.
Factors such as mood, environment, and condition would all affect the outcome. There were differences between the remaining Tailed Beasts, but the differences were not too great.
The Four-Tails, Son Gokū, due to its monstrous strength, had always been a strong contender for third place. Any Tailed Beast that wanted to be number three had to get past him.
Relatively speaking, in a desert environment, the One-Tails, Shukaku, was stronger than the Four-Tails, Son Gokū. One had great strength, the other had strong defense. Their power levels were similar, so a real fight would depend on external factors.
The area around the Sand Village was covered in sand, giving a huge geographical advantage.
But the Four-Tails had a perfect jinchuriki, while Gaara was still a step behind. The Tailed Beast couldn't exert its full power through the jinchuriki's body. Plus, Gaara was constantly holding Shukaku back, worried it would cause great destruction to the Sand Village. As soon as they clashed, the One-Tails was at a disadvantage.
The gorilla grabbed the One-Tails' head, found that this guy had no hair on his head, making it very awkward to grab. So, it used its knee to ram Shukaku's fat belly, pressed its body down, raised its big fists, and roared, pummeling it relentlessly.
The Four-Tails grabbed Shukaku's arm, gave it a shoulder throw, and slammed it into the ground, creating a huge crater. Countless buildings turned to dust in that instant.
Shukaku tried to create distance, constantly spewing wind bullets, but the Four-Tails tanked them all.
Shukaku had long arms but short legs and a big belly. After being flipped over, it was no match for the raging Four-Tails in close combat.
He also fought back with all his might, but his legs couldn't generate any force, so he could only rely on his butt and tail for support. His counterattacks looked slightly comical.
The Four-Tails gorilla was a complete fighting machine, attacking with both hands, forcing Shukaku back again and again.
Shukaku was also driven into a frenzy, extremely annoyed by Gaara's restrictions. Its eyes burst with hateful rage. The yin and yang chakra in its body quickly gathered, compressed at a 2-to-8 ratio, then it opened its large mouth, and a purplish-black, super-dense chakra ball condensed.
It's just a Tailed Beast Bomb. You can use it, so can't I?
A Tailed Beast Bomb also appeared in the Four-Tails' mouth. The Sand Village ninjas were all stunned.
There was no Jūzō Biwa-like badass here to cut a Tailed Beast Bomb with the Kubikiribōchō. Everyone's choice at this moment was the same: RUN!
