With a thunderous roar of lightning, Deoxys was struck in midair by the newly formed bolt of lightning! Its entire body was instantly enveloped in golden electricity!
At this moment, Deoxys was still in Attack Forme, which was also the moment when its defensive power was at its weakest!
Then—
Boom!
The lightning strike that had hit its target exploded in midair! A huge cloud of smoke rapidly spread outward, only to be immediately washed away by the rain and fierce winds.
As a result, the black smoke quickly dispersed. Once it had completely cleared, Deoxys's somewhat battered body appeared before Tornadus and Thundurus, before beginning to fall toward the ground.
"Tornadus!"
"Thundurus!"
After successfully landing their attack, Tornadus and Thundurus watched Deoxys descend and simultaneously revealed delighted expressions, letting out excited cries of victory.
However, at that moment, Liam, who had been watching the battle from a distance, looked at Deoxys falling from the sky. His brows furrowed slightly before he shouted again.
"Deoxys! Use Recover!"
Although Deoxys's defenses had been reduced to their absolute minimum, its enormous reserves of stamina meant that a single Thunder was nowhere near enough to defeat it. Besides, Deoxys's most famous ability was naturally its extraordinary recovery capability!
Hearing Liam's command, Deoxys, which had been falling headfirst, suddenly opened its eyes wide. A green glow immediately enveloped its body, and as the light appeared, the damage covering Deoxys rapidly began to heal!
In terms of the speed and effectiveness of Recover, Deoxys was absolutely among the best Pokémon. Even if only its core remained, it could regenerate its entire body, let alone when only a small portion of its body had been damaged.
In practically the time it took to draw a single breath, Deoxys's body had completely recovered.
The restored Deoxys suddenly turned around and shot back into the sky, once again facing the astonished Tornadus and Thundurus.
"Tornadus!"
"Thundurus!"
Tornadus and Thundurus frowned deeply as they stared at the opponent they had just defeated, which had now appeared before them completely unharmed.
Without hesitation, they unleashed Hurricane and Thunder once again!
Because the battlefield was currently under rainy weather, both Thunder and Hurricane were guaranteed to hit. Deoxys, having just taken a direct hit from Thunder, knew very well how unpleasant that attack felt.
Therefore, this time, when Tornadus and Thundurus launched their attacks, Deoxys did not attempt to dodge. Instead, it rapidly changed its form in midair.
The next moment, its round and sturdy Defense Forme appeared before Tornadus and Thundurus.
BOOM!! BOOM!!
The instant Deoxys completed its transformation, Tornadus and Thundurus's attacks arrived!
But this time, their attacks caused virtually no damage.
After changing forms, Deoxys quickly extended its four broad, flat tentacles and wrapped them around its body. A powerful burst of deep-purple defensive energy immediately erupted!
As this defensive energy surged outward, Tornadus's Hurricane and Thundurus's Thunder were both completely blocked!
Two immensely powerful attacks had failed even to touch Deoxys's body.
"Time to counterattack, Deoxys! Attack Forme! Psycho Boost!"
After defense came the counterattack.
"Deoxys!!"
Liam immediately issued his command to the Deoxys in the sky.
Upon hearing it, Deoxys's psychic energy suddenly surged. Its four sharp tentacles gathered in front of its body as an enormous amount of psychic energy rapidly concentrated between them.
"Deoxys!!"
After several seconds, Deoxys successfully completed its Psycho Boost. The next moment, it fired the enormous sphere of light, radiating terrifying energy, rapidly toward Tornadus and Thundurus below!
But just as the Psycho Boost sphere shot downward—
"Landorus!!"
A golden light suddenly tore through the dark clouds above!
Accompanied by a furious roar, a figure descended rapidly from the sky and landed directly in front of Tornadus and Thundurus.
As the golden light faded, the Pokémon within was revealed.
It was the same Landorus Liam had seen earlier!
Landorus's face was filled with anger as it looked up at the rapidly approaching Psycho Boost.
Then—
"Land! Orus!"
With an enraged roar, Landorus's right arm suddenly erupted with intense red light!
Landorus immediately stepped forward and threw a powerful punch directly at the incoming Psycho Boost!
"Landorus! Landorus!!"
But the moment Landorus's right fist came into contact with Psycho Boost, sweat appeared on its forehead.
The power of Psycho Boost was far beyond what Landorus could withstand!
Although Landorus had temporarily managed to stop the attack, its body was already being pushed backward continuously. Clearly, it was beginning to struggle to hold it back.
Yet Landorus refused to give up!
Red light once again appeared around its left arm. Then it threw another punch!
With both arms now resisting the crushing force of Psycho Boost, Landorus finally managed to slow its retreat.
"Deoxys!"
However, when Deoxys saw its Psycho Boost being blocked, it looked slightly surprised before quickly aiming all four of its tentacles at the three Forces of Nature below.
Four Shadow Balls rapidly condensed!
But then Deoxys suddenly stopped.
It had noticed Liam waving his hand at it, signaling for it not to attack.
Although Deoxys didn't know what Liam intended to do, it obeyed. The four fully formed Shadow Balls dissipated and vanished.
"Landorus!"
At this moment, Landorus was still using both arms to hold back Psycho Boost. Its body had already begun to bend under the tremendous pressure.
Just as Landorus was about to reach its limit—
"Tornadus!!"
"Thundurus!!"
Suddenly, four arms glowing with the same red light shot out from behind Landorus!
Together with Landorus, Tornadus and Thundurus joined forces to resist the crushing pressure of Psycho Boost!
"Landorus?"
With the sudden assistance, Landorus immediately felt the pressure decrease.
It turned around and saw that Tornadus and Thundurus—the two Pokémon it had just been protecting behind itself—had somehow managed to stand back up.
They were both using Hammer Arm, helping Landorus resist the attack!
"Landorus!!"
Seeing Tornadus and Thundurus fighting alongside it in perfect unity, Landorus was filled with relief and encouragement.
It was as though it had gained an entirely new source of strength!
Landorus suddenly let out a tremendous roar, releasing every ounce of power in its body.
It raised one fist and slammed it forward!
And then—
The enormous sphere of Psycho Boost was actually sent flying backward by Landorus's punch!
