While Ash and Gary found themselves in dire situations, Green naturally encountered enemies as well.

In truth, she had no intention whatsoever of fighting the three Team Rocket executives. She simply wanted to locate the clues she was searching for, then assist with the rescue mission and leave safely.

However, since she had infiltrated the Silph Building, Team Rocket wouldn't allow her to do as she pleased.

Besides, someone was already waiting specifically for her arrival.

"There's nothing here either. Should I check the higher floors?"

Green had already searched several floors without finding what she wanted. She was now hesitating whether to ascend a few more levels to continue her investigation.

She believed that the higher up she went, the greater the possibility of encountering the three Team Rocket executives. She had no desire to face them alone—not only because defeating them would be difficult, but also because it would waste precious time.

"I'll check one more floor. If I can't find anything, I'll go find Eddie instead. It'll be safer to move together with him, and I can help with the rescue operation."

Green made up her mind to search just one more floor. If she couldn't find any leads, she would prioritize rescuing the hostages first.

However, fortune—or perhaps misfortune—struck the moment she ascended to the next level.

The instant she stepped onto this floor, her body suddenly froze in place.

A bizarre scene materialized before Green's eyes. Countless colors twisted and distorted in strange, impossible ways, as if she had stepped into an entirely different world. Under this dazzling and disorienting light, everything around her transformed completely.

One second, she stood in the interior of the Silph Building. The next second, the environment shifted to become the place that had left the deepest, most traumatic impression on Green's memory.

An elegant tower surrounded by a sky filled with countless Abra.

"This place is...!?"

Green was indeed deeply familiar with this location—this was where she had been taken after being captured by that large bird Pokémon all those years ago.

"Hmph! This is the most profound place stored in your memories. I've recreated it for you using Psychic power. Do you like it?"

Sabrina floated in the air, her ever-present Alakazam hovering beside her as always, and spoke coldly to Green.

She wore Team Rocket's form-fitting uniform, which accentuated her graceful figure perfectly. Her beautiful legs were wrapped in black tights, and she maintained an elevated posture. Her fair face was covered with an expression of frost, and her cold eyes made her appear like the queen of this desolate, frozen realm.

"Your name is Green, correct? I don't know why, but I just want to torture you until you're on the verge of death."

Sabrina's words were frigid and completely undisguised in their hostility. Green even shuddered involuntarily.

The temperature of the space around them was dropping rapidly—not a physical temperature decrease, but rather an overwhelming sense of mental oppression weighing down upon her.

Green didn't hesitate any longer. She could clearly see that Sabrina was deadly serious about her intentions. Although she didn't understand why the Gym Leader was so furious that she wanted to kill her specifically, Green would never simply sit still and accept her fate.

Indeed, relying on her feminine intuition, Green sensed that Sabrina was genuinely enraged at this moment. Without wasting words, she immediately grabbed a Poké Ball and released her strongest partner.

"Blastoise! Use Hydro Pump!"

"Blastoise!"

Her Blastoise, radiating the powerful aura of a Gym Leader-level Pokémon, emerged from its ball. Already prepared for combat, it immediately launched an attack toward Alakazam the instant it materialized.

"Is this your strongest Pokémon? How disappointing!"

Facing the assault from Blastoise, Sabrina remained completely motionless with her arms folded across her chest. She didn't even bother issuing any commands.

The Alakazam hovering beside her understood Sabrina's intentions perfectly and used Light Screen to flawlessly block the incoming attack.

Sabrina's Alakazam undoubtedly possessed Quasi-Elite level strength. Whether it could completely crush a Gym Leader-level Blastoise remained uncertain, but suppressing it would be relatively easy.

"It blocked that attack so effortlessly!?"

"But this isn't over yet! Blastoise, use Mega Punch!"

After issuing this command, Green immediately grabbed a second Poké Ball and threw it directly at Sabrina's position.

This time, Green moved with incredible speed. She launched the Poké Ball almost simultaneously with giving her order to Blastoise.

"Hmph, such trivial tricks. Alakazam, use Reflect!"

Alakazam teleported directly in front of Sabrina and activated Reflect in the direction of both Blastoise's incoming attack and the thrown Poké Ball.

This way, Blastoise's Mega Punch would be blocked, and the Poké Ball would be deflected as well.

"You fell for it! Blastoise, use Hydro Pump!"

While the first Blastoise's Mega Punch was indeed blocked and the Poké Ball was deflected, the moment that Poké Ball bounced off the barrier, a second Blastoise instantly emerged from within it.

Just like the first Blastoise, this one was already prepared for immediate action. It fired a powerful Hydro Pump directly at its target without any delay.

Alakazam was still maintaining Reflect to defend against physical attacks. Faced with a Blastoise appearing so close to it unexpectedly, the Psychic-type Pokémon couldn't react in time and was struck directly by the water attack.

"What! Two Blastoise!"

Sabrina's icy expression finally showed a hint of emotion. She hadn't expected that Green possessed two Blastoise. This crucial information wasn't included in the intelligence data that Team Rocket had collected about her.

"No! That first one was actually Ditto all along!"

Thinking about intelligence gaps, Sabrina instantly recalled that Green owned a Ditto. Turning her attention back to the first Blastoise, she witnessed it gradually transforming back into Ditto's natural appearance.

"Hehe~~~ I have more than just my Gym Leader-level Blastoise, you know!"

Green felt slightly proud of herself. In order to execute this realistic tactic successfully, she had specifically trained her Ditto extensively in transformation techniques.

"It's not over yet! Clefairy! Use Sweet Kiss!"

At some point during the exchange, Green had already retrieved another Poké Ball and released her Clefairy onto the battlefield.

Green understood perfectly well that Blastoise couldn't defeat Alakazam in a single strike. If a Gym Leader-level Pokémon wanted to overcome a Quasi-Elite level opponent, it would require exceptional combat prowess like what Eddie, Ash, and Gary possessed.

Although she couldn't match their battle capabilities, she could still employ various tactical methods to force a competitive fight!

Just like now—her third and final Gym Leader-level Pokémon, Clefairy, had entered the battle. Although it was weaker than Alakazam in raw power, Sweet Kiss wasn't an offensive move but rather a disruptive technique.

Sweet Kiss: The user kisses the opponent adorably like an angel, causing it to fall into a confused state.

Although using this move against an Alakazam that was stronger would result in reduced effectiveness, as long as she could control it even briefly, Green could then employ various other tactical methods to continue fighting competitively.

"Tch, you irritating little girl, don't get too carried away!"

Seeing that her Alakazam had been struck first and then confused by the status move, Sabrina directly used her own Psychic powers to teleport both herself and Alakazam backward, temporarily creating distance from Green.

Even though Alakazam was in a confused state, as long as Sabrina commanded it not to move, the disciplined Pokémon wouldn't accidentally strike its own trainer.

"Huh? Why aren't you sending out a second Pokémon?"

Green had expected Sabrina to deploy additional Pokémon to fight alongside Alakazam, but the Gym Leader didn't. Instead, she simply used her Psychic abilities to protect her confused partner.

"...Oh~~~ I understand now! That's exactly why you're only using one Pokémon!"

"It's because you don't have any other Pokémon available to battle right now. Saffron City was covered by such an enormous Psychic barrier. Your other Pokémon must have been positioned throughout the city as anchors for that Psychic network!"

"And just moments ago, Eddie destroyed that barrier, which means your other Pokémon also suffered severe damage, right? So even though your Pokémon are nearby, you can only use Alakazam in actual combat, correct!?"

Being as intelligent as she was, Green figured out the answer after only a brief moment of thought, and she couldn't help but feel encouraged by this realization.

Upon hearing this deduction, Sabrina remained silent for a while, still keeping her arms folded across her chest as she floated in the air. Then she let out a cold sneer.

"Hmph! So what if you're correct? Do you honestly think you can defeat my Alakazam with just these three Pokémon? Don't be so naive, little girl."

"It would be unrealistic to defeat you with just three Pokémon! After all, you're Sabrina, the Gym Leader of Saffron City. But! If three won't work, I wonder if six Pokémon can manage it!?"

After declaring this, Green released all her remaining Poké Balls at once, deploying Wigglytuff, Nidorina, and Seadra onto the battlefield.

These three Pokémon were only at Peak level in strength, but they could still provide valuable assistance even if they couldn't engage in direct combat effectively.

Green wasn't thinking about how to defeat Sabrina immediately. Her strategy was simply to stall for time and gradually exhaust her opponent's resources.

After all, in a one-versus-six situation, even a Quasi-Elite level Alakazam would definitely be worn down faster than her team of six Pokémon working together.

"And just in case, I'll use this Moon Stone that Eddie gave me!"

Green produced a Moon Stone from her pocket—the same one that Eddie had secretly passed to her earlier before she had kissed him goodbye.

As for why it had been done secretly, Eddie must have known that someone was monitoring them at that moment. By giving it to her discreetly, he had provided Green with an extra trump card that nobody else knew about.

"Sabrina! This is what Eddie gave me so that I could defeat you. Let me show you the combined power of Eddie and myself together. Clefairy, evolve—into Clefable!"

Green had always sensed that Sabrina's anger seemed somehow connected to Eddie, so she deliberately tried to provoke the Gym Leader further. If her opponent became emotionally compromised, then Green would have a better chance of winning against such an enraged enemy.

Upon hearing this statement, Sabrina looked at the Moon Stone in Green's hand and watched Clefairy beginning its evolution. Just as Green had anticipated, she became absolutely furious.

An angry flush spread across Sabrina's pale cheeks, veins bulged visibly on her forehead, and she spoke with barely controlled rage.

"You impudent little girl! I'm going to break your hands and feet, then carve several cuts across your face. Let's see if you can still be so sharp-tongued after that!"

"Alakazam! Mega Evolve! Show this ignorant child exactly how powerful we truly are!"

In this manner, Green commanded her six Pokémon and fought desperately against Sabrina's enraged Mega Alakazam.

Beyond just dealing with an angry Sabrina, Green now understood that Sabrina and Eddie shared some kind of relationship. As a woman, her sense of romantic crisis intensified immediately, and she fought with even greater determination than usual.

Simply put, this battle had essentially become a conflict sparked because of a certain someone.

Fortunately, Eddie wasn't present at this moment. If he were caught in the middle of this fight between these two women, he wouldn't have any idea how to handle the situation properly.
