A few minutes later, Muk and Weezing, who had fallen unconscious due to Sing, suddenly woke up.

They should have remained asleep for several more minutes, but the sense of danger they instinctively felt jolted them awake.

As soon as they regained consciousness, they noticed Green, who was standing at a safe distance with a bright smile on her face, waving her hands enthusiastically toward the sky as if greeting someone.

Confused by her behavior, they immediately turned their attention upward.

Then they saw a flame radiating a terrifying aura descending from the sky, heading directly toward them.

Unlike the Hydro Pump that Green's Blastoise had used earlier, which had barely affected them, this flame clearly possessed the power to seriously injure them.

"!!!"

The two Gym Leader level Pokémon were startled for a moment before immediately leaping backward to evade the flames.

"Your reaction speed is quite impressive. Is this the combat capability of quasi-Elite level Pokémon?"

"But you two are rather interesting. You didn't fight me back there just now, yet you came here to cause trouble for Green instead. That's fine by me."

Eddie descended from the sky riding on Charizard, addressing the two strongest Pokémon on the island besides Articuno.

"Hey, Eddie! I found this guy who's obviously the leader. It seems he was afraid of you, so he ran away first. That's why you didn't encounter these two Pokémon over there."

Green pointed at Harley, whom she had just tied up securely, and explained to Eddie with a triumphant smile on her face.

"And Eddie, this guy actually has a Light Red City Badge on him, and it looks like it's the authentic Badge that belongs to the Gym Leader~~~"

Green was holding the Light Red Badge she had searched from Harley's belongings, waving it at Eddie repeatedly as if seeking credit for her discovery.

"The Light Red Badge? No wonder Articuno doesn't dare to break out of the ice—it's because the person with this Badge is still here."

After Eddie saw the Badge in Green's hand, he immediately understood one of the reasons why Articuno hadn't escaped from its icy prison.

It seemed that Articuno had sensed that the person holding the Light Red Badge had been defeated by Eddie, which was why it still didn't dare to break free from the ice.

"Green, hold onto that Badge and step back to a safe distance."

"Now I'll deal with these two Gym Leader level Pokémon first."

After jumping down from Charizard, Eddie took out three Poké Balls and gave instructions to Green.

"Okay, go get them, Eddie! I'll stand back here and watch your amazing performance."

Upon hearing this, Green responded cheerfully. She then had Blastoise drag Harley back approximately twenty meters, and settled in to watch the battle unfold with great interest.

"That girl... whatever."

"Come out, Espeon, Garchomp, and Gardevoir!"

To defeat a quasi-Elite level Dragonite, Eddie had needed six Pokémon working together, but for these two opponents, Eddie felt confident that dealing with them would be much easier. Sending out four Pokémon would be more than sufficient.

Furthermore, Eddie's Pokémon were considerably stronger now than they had been during the previous battle with Dragonite, so having two Pokémon against one enemy would be enough to secure victory.

Poison-type Pokémon were vulnerable to Psychic-type and Ground-type attacks.

As soon as Eevee appeared, it received Eddie's command and immediately transformed into Espeon.

As for Garchomp and Gardevoir, they hadn't Mega Evolved yet.

After all, they had just Mega Evolved and battled for an extended period, so they couldn't continue to Mega Evolve right now—they had already consumed a substantial amount of energy.

But even so, these four Pokémon were more than adequate to handle Muk and Weezing.

"Garchomp, first use Sand Tomb to trap Muk, then close in and use Dragon Claw!"

"Espeon, first use Calm Mind to boost yourself, then use Future Sight on Muk!"

Upon hearing the command, Garchomp roared and gathered its energy, transforming the area around Muk into ground filled with swirling quicksand, instantly trapping it in place.

After completing this step, Garchomp approached Muk at tremendous speed, raised its claws, and slashed at the frightened Muk with overwhelming force.

Espeon chirped softly and, with the effect of Calm Mind, increased its Special Attack and Special Defense. Then it used Future Sight.

After using this move, a powerful Psychic attack would strike the targeted location after a brief delay.

Future Sight was almost guaranteed to hit in the games, but this was reality. This move could still theoretically be avoided since it locked onto a specific area. As long as a Pokémon moved far enough away from the locked location, it could evade the attack.

Normally, avoiding this move wasn't easy because the locking range was large and the target didn't know precisely where the attack would land.

Muk couldn't dodge at this moment—after all, it was trapped in the Sand Tomb. It wasn't that Muk didn't want to break free from the quicksand, but Garchomp didn't give it any opportunity, continuously suppressing it with close-range attacks.

"Charizard, first use Fire Spin to trap Weezing, then use Fire Punch to knock it down for me!"

"Gardevoir, use Calm Mind, then attack Weezing with Psychic!"

Charizard employed the same tactics as Garchomp, surrounding Weezing with blazing flames in a spiraling vortex. Then Charizard charged forward and delivered a powerful Fire Punch, striking Weezing hard and knocking it down from its floating position in the air before it could react.

Gardevoir hadn't learned Future Sight yet, so it was using Psychic to continuously assault Weezing instead.

The two quasi-Elite level Pokémon were being completely suppressed by two Gym Leader-level Pokémon each.

The situation wasn't quite as dire on Weezing's side. Its opponent, Charizard, didn't have a type advantage against it. Weezing could occasionally spray out some Sludge Bombs to counterattack Charizard and slow down its offensive momentum.

However, it wasn't only facing Charizard—Gardevoir was also constantly attacking it with Confusion and Psychic from a distance, making it impossible to escape from the Fire Spin. Weezing could only endure being slowly worn down.

Muk was in a far worse situation than Weezing.

After all, as a Dragon and Ground-type Pokémon, Garchomp wasn't affected by Poison-type attacks. Moreover, Garchomp constantly used Sand Attack while maintaining its offensive pressure, interfering with Muk's vision.

Muk didn't even bother thinking about whether it could land a hit on Garchomp. Even when it did manage to strike, Garchomp acted as if it didn't feel any pain or discomfort, and simply continued attacking Muk relentlessly.

After Espeon used Future Sight, it also continued using Psychic to suppress Muk from behind.

With Garchomp blocking Muk from the front, Espeon didn't need to overthink things—it just needed to keep attacking from the rear.

In this situation, the moment when Future Sight would strike was rapidly approaching. That would be the end for Muk.

"Poison-type Pokémon without a trainer's commands and Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon without a trainer's commands—the strength displayed by the two is completely on different levels."

"Unlike Pseudo-Legendary Pokémon that are strong enough to handle most situations and attacks independently, Poison-type Pokémon aren't built for direct confrontation. They rely much more heavily on a trainer's tactical commands to fight strategically, gradually poisoning their opponents step by step."

"Right now, I don't know what's wrong with these two Pokémon. Not only do they show no desire to attack properly, but they're also desperately trying to escape. It's completely normal for them to be suppressed by two Gym Leader-level Pokémon each."

Although Eddie didn't understand why these two Gym Leader level Pokémon didn't dare to fight—or didn't want to fight—this didn't prevent him from easily dealing with them.

However, Muk and Weezing seemed unable to bear the situation any longer. Perhaps they noticed Eddie's confusion, because they suddenly ignored the attacks from Eddie's Pokémon and responded as if pleading for their lives.

"Muk~~" (Sir, please show us mercy!)

"Weezing~~" (Yes, please give us a way out!)

Eddie: "..."
