Sienna-Rose remained standing by the doorway of the Queen's private tea room, her arms still folded across her chest as her eyes moved slowly from her two wives, Sophia to Haley, then to the burned artifacts resting on the tea table.
The blackened remains were unmistakable. Whatever they had once been, they had carried enough dark magic for her defensive enchantments to reduce them to scorched fragments.
She looked back at Sophia. "Sweetheart, I asked a question."
Sophia exchanged a brief glance with Haley before letting out a sigh. There's no point trying to hide it anymore. Their wife has already reached the palace, and judging by the look in her eyes, she's probably already figured out enough to know something serious had happened.
