Grand Ballroom, Aethelgard Kingdom Palace, Erebus Citadel
The grand hall has a high, vaulted ceiling lined with detailed paintings that show the famous founding of Aethelgard. Each panel is alive with bright colors and gold details that sparkle in the candlelight.
Huge crystal chandeliers, each with a waterfall of sparkling prisms, hang in elegant rows. They fill the room with a golden glow that dances across the marble floors that have been polished to a mirror shine.
Along the walls are tall arched mirrors set in ornate gold leaf. These mirrors double the hall's beauty and make the sea of guests look like it goes on forever. There is a marble figure of the kingdom's ancestors and guardian gods between each mirror.
The statues are dressed in flowing stone robes that make them look almost alive in the changing lights. Above these niches, platforms curve like beautiful ribbons and are only for musicians, whose symphonies fall on the dancers below.
